The lovely people at Lumie have given me one of their top of the range Bodyclock Iris 500 (RRP £160) to giveaway to one of my lucky readers. Body clock Iris is an alarm clock that combines aromatherapy with a simulated sunrise and sunset, helping you relax at bedtime and waking you fully refreshed.

    I love monitoring my sleep with my fitbit. I realised I was often only get 6 hours sleep so now I try to go to bed earlier and get at least 7 hours sleep. I feel so much better for it but I do still hate getting up in the morning!

    I sometimes struggle to get to sleep but use a herbal remedy to help me nod off. I seem to wake a lot during the night but can normally get back to sleep, I am sure this is as a result of spending many years soothing my twins back to sleep whenever they woke up!

    I massively struggle to sleep the majority of nights however when i do sleep i struggle to get up. Its a cycle which leaves me exhausted.

    I get a lot of back and hip pain so find it hard to get to sleep but once I’m off I’m fine. It’s getting back up in the morning that’s the hard part

    I take anti anxiety medication at night time so it makes me really sleepy so I’m pretty much out as soon as my head hits the pillow but my husband is a really light sleeper and is up several times through the night

    My sleep patterns are rubbish im not sure if its because i worked nights for many years or that the apple of my eye ( Harvey my ginger tom cat) usually comes in to tell me its either raining at 3 am ( he puts his soaking wet paw on my nose ) or that hes hungry at 6.30 am which is my normal getting up time in the week – he really should learn the days of the week !

    I have occasional bouts of insomnia where I wake up at 4am and can’t get back to sleep. They often happen when the seasons change and it’s hard to get back into a routine.

    My sleeping pattern is terrible. I usually get by on around 4 hours. I work 12 hours shifts, both days and nights and have a toddler.

    I sometimes struggle to sleep at night but I suffer from chronic fatigue so I sometimes sleep for a long time. Worst i’ve been was about 20 hours out of 24. I wonder if one of these would help me in the mornings.

    I find it very hard to get to sleep on a night – usually takes me an hour or two of tossing and turning as I can’t switch off. Once off I can usually sleep til the alarm goes off unless my little girl makes a noise next door cos that wakes me up in an instant then it’s another half hour -hour to get back off again x

    I love sleep – I never used to sleep that well until I had children and I am so tired that I go to bed at 10pm and as soon as my head hits the pillow, I’m out like a light! I get at least 8 hours sleep a night and quite often have a one or two hour nap during the day when my youngest daughter naps. I cannot sleep with any noise so have to sleep with ear plugs as my husband doesn’t go to bed until much later than me and always has the TV on in the sitting room!

    I’m menopausal and my sleep is all over the place at the moment. I also find coffee now keeps me awake, as does the second glass of wine. I’m knackered most of the time.

    Its a bit of a catch 22 for me, I always really stuggle to fall asleep even if I’m tired, then when the alarm rings abruptly in the morning it’s a pain to get myself out of bed – I think I must hit the snooze button at least 3 times! x

    I really struggle to get to sleep at night and need a good 8 hours to feel human the next day! So I get into bed about 10pm which allows me to take time to fall asleep, and still get my 8 hours. This would help to much to wake me gently in the morning! Fingers crossed

    I struggle so much to sleep at night. I toss and turn, and get extremely hot very fast. I often end up kicking the covers off. Most nights I’m up til stupid o’clock watching tv as I give up trying to fall asleep as I just get angry.

    I’m an owl so never go to bed until after midnight. I then read and do Sudoku or cryptic crosswords until my eyes feel heavy. I’m usually asleep within minutes of turning off the light and sleep solidly for 7-8 hours. I feel very lucky to be able to sleep so easily 🙂 Waking up however is a different matter!!!!!!

    My sleep patterns are terrible. I wake up tired because I sleep fitfully during the night. I know I’m not having a deep sleep because I can remember my dreams. Subsequently, I am tired during the day and usually fall asleep in the late afternoon which causes another bad night. It’s a vicious circle 🙁

    I have always struggled with sleep. I have intermittent insomnia and end up having to take prescribed sleeping tablets a couple of times a year when it starts getting out of hand. A “good” night for me is around 5 hours. I would LOVE to win this, I have heard good things about them!

    Sleep 7 hours completely knocked out but struggle to drop off.

    With young children I have a awful ights sleep. Usually get woken up in the night then can’t go back to sleep and when I do i usually overslept and wake up in a rush it’s a awful start to the day x

    i struggle with having a good nights sleep as i work in a 24 hour supermarket on shifts so one day i will get home really late and be getting up really early, i try my best to get as many hours as i can though

    I probably just get 8 hours a night but not solid sleep. Most mornings I get up 6-6.30 am as I find I can’t drop back off. I never sleep through. My sleep pattern also depends on how my health problems are

    Ive always been able to function on around 6 hours sleep a night. However, as i’m getting older I find i’m not so able to do that any more and most nights only get around 4 or 5 hours sleep and napping in the day. I’d love 8 hours a night and no naps!

    I have bipolar & im on a lot of medication. Because of this I get heavily sedated and I can sleep for around 10 hours & really struggle to wake up. When I do wake up it takes around 2 hours until I start to feel normal.
    Today I’m still awake as I took my medication later. I really need to get my sleeping pattern sorted because I know it’s so important to me health .

    I always get at least 7hrs sleep, I love my sleep. but my hubby struggles as he works different shifts throughout the month so it causes problems with sleep patterns

    I used to only get around 6 hours sleep per night until my bedroom tv broke and I never replaced it!
    I now sleep 8 hours per night! No distractions even my partner is getting a full nights sleep with no bright tv glowing in the room
    I tend to read for about 15 minutes then I feel very tired and that is me 🙂

    I don’t sleep too well these days, take a while to settle, sleep lightly, and am awake before the alarm. I also don’t sleep at all every now and again if I am too stressed out about something the next day, which doesn’t help!

    Mostly I sleep very well, but I live near Heathrow and depending on the flight patterns there are sometimes planes flying overhead early into the morning which can disturb me.

    My sleep pattens are terrible. I try to go to bed at the same time eery night and not use technologies in the bedrooms. As soon as I hit the pillow my mind wonderes over everything and anything which ears to trouble sleeping. I also was a lot in the night and have anxious dreams

    I struggle to sleep but that’s mainly down to being 9 months pregnant and having a toddler too. I do struggle from time to time too and would love one of these clocks. Heard wonderful things about it helping with SADs x

    i tend to have 50/50 sleep, some night I will be so tired so would fell asleep quick, but other night I would have so many thoughts that it would take me ages to fall asleep and I would wake up ever so often with my little girl as well

    My Fitbit tracks my sleep and I tend to be restless in the night, at least 16 periods of this and 2-3 times waking over an average of 8 hours sleep a night. I’d love to wake naturally, the alarm that currently wakes me sounds like a horrid air horn but at least it works, if it’s too gentle in terms of sound it just doesn’t work.

    Over Xmas I was working 12-13 hour days, 6 days a week on 4-5 hours sleep and now I cannot get back to sleeping more than 3.5-5 hours a night. Even then, I may wake a couple of times.

    My sleeping patterns have been all over the place since I hit 50 (nearly 10yrs ago) I will often get up during the night when I can’t sleep and do a couple of hours on the computer but I don’t really feel tired very often. It’s heaven when I do get a good night’s sleep.

    I really struggle with sleep so i’m on mirtazapine,I’ve been advised to take them at tea time & go to bed at the same time as my daughter 7.30-8pm but i forget most days & don’t end up taking them til about 9-1opm.
    They are great but If i don’t go to sleep as soon as i start to feel drowsy I can’t then get to sleep til at least 1am & i’m up at 7am to get my daughter up & ready for school.
    I wish i didn’t have to take the tablets but i’ve been signed on the sick with depression & they are the only things that help me sleep

    I have always had horrid insomnia ever since my teens and it takes such a huge toll on my health. Unfourtanetly my daughter is also a poor sleeper and wakes at least a few times in the night (and she is now 5 years old!).
