What’s Your Language Age?

I don’t know about you but I’m a bit of a child because I really really  love to do silly little online quizzes!! I love knowing that the character I would be in Game of Thrones is Brienne of Tarth, the celebrity I am most alike is Angelina Jolie, that I’ll live to the ripe old age of 93 and get killed by an erupting volcano! Knowing these things makes my life better, fuller and makes me a happier person 😉 Knowing that I have another 54 years before I get hit by volcanic lava makes me almost joyful! 😉

So obviously when I came across the Sunlife Language Age Quiz I just had to take it! In fact it was a joy to take because it brought back to me lots of happy memories, seeing words and phrases I had forgotten that I used to use in my teens. I suddenly remembered getting ‘bladdered’ on a Friday night and being called a ‘twit’ and a ‘plonker’ by my wonderful siblings ;D

I was a little surprised when it told me I had the language age of a teen (but secretly quite pleased) – I know I’m pretty much down with the kids but the description of the teens did kinda throw me a little…

You have hella fleek language?

WTAF is that supposed to mean?

According to the Urban Dictionary

Hella: It is commonly used in place of “really” or “very” when describing something.

Fleek: a state of completeness and flawlessness, the quality of being perfect

So basically I have a very good understanding of the teens of today language… or maybe I actually don’t 😉

As for the rest well! SQUAD GOALS? THROWING YOU SHADE?

I give up now… I’m 39 and proud!  Also my spell checker is going cray cray so I know I’m better off not understanding 😉

Ha I got age 40!! On some of the questions there wasn’t anything that I’d actually say though. But I AM 42 so I guess quite accurate lol x

I cannot decipher my teens language so this made me chuckle – will be coming to you for translations

I often have to get the boys to translate for me. I certainly do not have any idea of teen language

Ha ha ha!!! Too funny! I definitely don’t have teen language, I feel older every time I hear kids talking, lol

I have a teen, so don’t think she’d approve if I spoke too much of her language! Great fun though…..

haha I like to think I’m down with the kids but my teenager would disagree! But I did know what ‘fleek’ means! Having ‘brows on fleek’ is a big deal in our house!!

Language fascinates me though I can’t keep up with my teens. Hella has a different meaning in Cornwall though Squd Goals is all over my kids Instagram Bios. The new use of Sick is another I can’t get used to.

I love them quizzes too. I had a go at this and apparently my language puts me at 20, so slightly more mature than you 😛 I’ve seen so many changes over the years it gets too difficult to keep up. I do say things sometimes that my kids just don’t get.

I must admit, some of the language today has me confused haha. My head is still in the 90’s

I often have to use the urban dictionary to keep my language up to date. I guess that says something about my age.

Ha apparently I need to take a chill pill, what a fun quiz, I love doing stuff like this x

I love doing them as well. I love finding out what my Unicorn name would be or what celeb I most look like. Life’s too serious so I think we should carry on doing them!!
