Trutex School Uniform Review

The lovely people at Trutex contacted me recently to see if I would like to try out some of their school uniform for Boo. It couldn’t have come at a better time as she was really getting ready for some more! I just gave them her size, told her what uniform she wears and a couple of days later a parcel arrived containing a twin pack of easycare summer blouses, a cherry pinafore dress, a polo shirt (£4.50) and a sweatshirt cardigan. I asked for a size 7-8 in all the sizes because at 5 Boo is quite tall for her age and most of the clothes below that age group will be too short for her. I was quite pleased when the Trutex clothes arrived as they are quite generous and Boo has plenty of growing room in them!

Sweatshirt Cardigan £9.93
Cherry Pinafore £11.09
Twin Pack Girls Blouses £12.10
I have to say I am pretty impressed with the Trutex garments that we have been sent, they all wash incredibly well and if you hang them you won’t have to iron them. They are all a lovely material that have that soft feel to them. They are really fantastic quality clothes; I usually buy the kids uniforms from the local supermarket for quite a bit less money but the quality definitely isn’t as good and they have a horrible feel to them and always need ironing – I would much rather pay a little bit extra and have better quality and not have to iron personally! Off to look at their summer dress range now :O)

Can you believe that Trutex has been around since 1865… We used to wear Trutex clothes as kids but I would never have guessed they had been around so long!
Established in 1865 as the Clitheroe Shirting Company in Grindleton, deep in the heart of the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, the company has manufactured under the Trutex brand since the 1920’s, before changing its name to Trutex in 1965.
