If you have followed my blog for a while you will know that back in 2011 I did my first Race for Life and then last year Boo & I ran it together as a Mum/daughter team 🙂 This year I’m doing something a little different… I am taking part in Race for Life ‘Pretty Muddy’ on 13th September and I need your help to raise some money for Cancer Research UK.
I don’t confess to being a great runner and running the whole 5K is quite tough for me so adding in a muddy obstacle course is going to be rather difficult although I will be doing some training so I don’t look like a complete arse on the day 😉
I do work out every day but I haven’t run for at least a year now so in the next couple of weeks I will be out running, starting off slowly and building it up to a good strong 5k for the big day! I am happy with my strength for the obstacles so it’s really just the long distance running I need to master.
Thankfully the lovely people at Aqua Pura have sent me a case of water to keep my thirst quenched whilst I am training, they also kindly sponsored me £50 and sent me some other goodies to help me with my training 🙂
As usual every business or blogger that sponsors me will get their badge or link put on my sponsors page until the end of the year, so the sooner you sponsor me the longer it will appear :O) Email me at thismummyloves@gmail.com with your badge/link once you have sponsored me and I will add it.
Please sponsor me now, even if it is just £1 – every penny helps xx
Thank you xx

I haven’t heard of a muddy version of Race for Life before. I did one 9 months after having B, but only managed to run half of it and walked the rest of it. Good luck
Oh, this looks awesome!! Our local one was fully subscribed in super quick time. Wishing you all the best with it, and the fundraising! x
I’ve not heard of the muddy 5k – sounds awesome! As you say, I think my girls will love it. Before you know, your daughter will be 13 and you’ll be running it together 🙂 Good luck!
Good luck with your run, 5km is long enough with out throwing mud into the mix 🙂
Well done you! I’d be quite happy to run 5k, but I’m not sure about adding mud into the mix 🙂
I read about pretty muddy today, good for you, wishing you good luck and bet Boo will be so proud at the finish line!
Best of luck! 5km in the mud is no easy task. I’ll Tweet this for you too xx
