Special Time with my Boo

I spend too much time with Mummy guilt, guilty for not spending enough time with each of my kids doing things together,   Boo in particular seems to get less Mummy time, Bugs has me everyday after nursery until we fetch Boo from school and then when Lero comes home I manage to get out and take him to watch a film or go out for a meal, so both the boys have lots of special time with me. I promised myself at the beginning of the year that I would be a better person, a better Mummy  and this starts with giving my kids the time they need.

Don’t get me wrong I do spend lots of time with the her but just not as much quality ‘our’ time as I could do. I want to spend time alone with her and make her feel special, if you know what I mean.

We got out the Hama Beads and made some Disney Princesses first of all. Boo loves Disney princess and I bought her these for Christmas last year, we just didn’t get round to doing them until this weekend. I bought Lero Hama Beads when he was little but this was the first time Boo has used them and she really enjoyed doing it. I will definitely be buying some more. I’m hoping there is another Disney Princesses set to add to our collection.

We also made some plaster cast fairies and then painted them. She really loved doing this together and I think she did a fab job of painting them and sprinkling them with glitter! Four of them we made into fridge magnets and the other two are badges. She is so proud of these 🙂

We had a lovely day together and spent lots of time chatting, singing and giggling. We really need much more time like this and I intend to give it her as much as I can. We also sorted out her outfit for World Book Day…

Any guesses who she’ll be? 😉

I have the same concerns about 1 on 1 time with my kids, we’re working on it and they both enjoy time alone with me or my husband doing ‘special time’

She looks so happy in these pictures! It’s very difficult to spend time with both children – I’m constantly feeling guilty about not doing more with one or the other of my two. But, then, as someone reminded me, they have each other, so that’s something you’ve given them, too!

That’s lovely! One to one time with the kids is so important. I also find it hard to get enough of that as I would like, as they seem to be always all together! It looks like she had lots of fun

You managed to fit loads into your day. We love Hama beads here and we must get them out again. Even with two girls it can be very hard trying to find the time to spend quality time with them – especially individually. Which reminds me it is sewing club this afternoon – one on one me time with Bigger Miss once a month!

Wow. You certainly packed a lot of fun into one day. I love the things you made. My lot used to love Hama beads when they were little. I might buy some for Ollie now that you’ve reminded me about them.
Your daughter is gorgeous by the way x

What a lot you managed to fit in to your day! It is really tricky to get one-on-one time, and as you say, trickier too to make that into ‘quality’ time – so good for you for managing it. And what a lovely Hermione she makes! #blogclub

Sounds like you had a fantastic time with each other! It is really hard to spend ‘quality’ time with the kids isn’t it? There are so many demands on us these days that sometimes you really do have to make special time like this to enjoy each other. I love doing hama beads with my daughter…I find it really therapeutic!! Don’t be hard on yourself…I am sure you are a wonderful mum x

Love the Hama bead princesses, we don’t own an iron so not something we can do lol

Will be lovely to have special solo time with either of mine but we rarely ever get it unless they are poorly and not at nursery 🙂

I bet you will get some time with Z when she starts school in Sept?
