Skogstad Outdoor Clothing

Review/ Trendy Kids

A few weeks ago the kids were sent some absolutely gorgeous jackets from the lovely people at Skogstad. Skogstad are a Norwegian outdoor clothing brand.  They’ve been around for 75 years in Norway and were recently voted the Number One outdoor clothing brand for the family. The brand launched in the UK at the end of last year selling outdoor clothing for men, women, kids and tots.

They have a really great range and the jackets we have been sent are just fantastic! The quality is like nothing I have seen on a coat I’ve purchased in the UK before! They just feel SO good! They are a little bit on the kids at the moment (big sizes) so they will be absolutely perfect come Autumn/Winter!

Bugs was sent  the Zuv Boy’s 2-layer Technical Jacket in Sky Blue which sells for £54.00. It is super cute – a gorgeous sky blue colour with grey and green trimmings.  It also has reflective stripes on the arms to help little ones be seen.  The jacket’s also have elastic around the bottom so you can also pull that in closer to the body as well, the same with the hoods.

Why buy a “two-layer technical” jacket for your little romper and roller? Ok, well, it is tough and will not rip, tear or scuff easily. It is totally waterproof and it is windproof against everything the vicious UK wind can throw at it. It is also really breathable. This is important because if it didn’t breath, your little man would get hot and sweaty and then later cold. Let’s keep him warm, dry and happy, shall we?

Looking at the weather this morning these jackets are going to be getting some use over the next few days! It’s awful out there! I just love that these are totally rain and windproof, it makes the wet, windy school runs a lot more pleasant!

Boo was sent the Adele Girl’s 3-layer Technical Jacket in Purple Haze which sells for £79.00

The Adele is a snazzy piece of kit that is perfect for any weather and any activity. A big problem with kids’ coats is that they don’t breathe enough for the activity that the kid does. An active person needs a technical jacket that both keeps them warm and dry but also doesn’t hold so much warmth in that they sweat and make the jacket wet. This jacket from Skogstad is ideal. Outdoor clothing technicality at its best.

Both jackets are really good fitting, they have elastic round the wrist to stop draughts and the hood is actually very wearable and isn’t going to be blown off in a breeze. They zip right up to the chin without causing irritation.

These jackets are fantastic quality and I would happily recommend them to you. They are a bit more expensive than I’d normally pay for a coat but the quality is just fantastic and these are proper ‘outdoor wear’ which I have never bought before so most definitely worth every penny!

Wow these look like super coats! If I had the money I would certainly invest in them. My son has a raincoat with fleece zip out liner. Great. Except it had a poppered on hood…except being a boy he lost it. A raincoat with no hood. I ask you??!!

We always make sure we get decent kid’s coats, there’s nothing worse than walking to school in the rain and getting there soaked, it’s not exactly conducive to learning!

Nice coats! I would love a coat like this myself. With things like coats and shoes I think you need to invest in a it and they will last! A great brand I’ll look up in the future x

Bit out of my price range but they look amazing. I have always bought outdoor coats for my kids as if you get the three in one type they do all year round.

Love the shade of blue for that coat! And the reflective strips are a smart idea. Thanks for sharing.

I always bought proper outdoor jackets for mine when he was little, nothing worse than them getting soggy and cold. These look really great quality and I’d say good value for what your getting.
