Riverford Recipe Box Review

I love cooking I really do, but I’ve found myself getting lazy in the last few years, cooking whatever is easiest and what will get eaten by the kids. It’s also really hard as my partner doesn’t get home until late so we all have separate meal times so I just don’t enjoy it as much anymore. When Riverford Organic Farms got in touch for me to review one of their recipe boxes I jumped at the chance! I have got into the habit of just cooking the same old things over and over again so the chance to cook three completely different meals from gorgeous fresh produce was too good an opportunity to miss!

I opted for the quick recipe box because with us eating late it usually interferes with the kids bedtime etc so  spending more than 30 minutes in the kitchen is far too time consuming for me, plus we are both usually starving! The box was delivered by a very friendly driver on the given delivery date. I couldn’t wait to open it up…

All the food was amazing quality and really well packed and kept. There were three recipe cards with brilliant recipes on that really appealed to us! The box had a few different sections plus three number sections for each recipe so it was really easy to find the ingredients for each meal!

The recipes in our box are as pictured below, the recipes do change each week and you can view them on the website before you order so you know exactly what you are getting.

There was plenty of produce provided for each meal and the portions were really great sizes. Plenty for both of us and we could probably have fed the kids with it too, if they hadn’t been in bed that is 😉

All the recipes were quick and really easy to make and we absolutely loved them all! My favourite was the Pasta Genovese (above) which so just so tasty and my other half LOVED the Beef fajitas (below), The Pork was delicious too, so good that it was eaten before I got to take a photo 😉

The quick recipe box is for 2 people and costs £39.95. I would happily pay that knowing I get three wonderful fresh meals with absolutely gorgeous produce.

I wish I had known about these recipe boxes when I had the babies, they would make a perfect gift for new parents who want to continue eating well but are pushed for time looking after the new baby! This would have been a lifesaver when Bugs was born as we lived on crappy takeaways!
