Remembering 2015 with a Smile.

personal/ Year In Review

I love looking back at all the photos I have taken, I have completed so many ‘year in pictures’ projects now and it is such a wonderful way to create memories. I never struggle to find a photo for a card or a frame as I take so many so I will continue this year too and do 2016 in pictures. Last year I also found out about the One Second Everyday project, which is where you take a second video from each day and stitch those together, well I only found out about that in August but I loved the idea so much that I started doing that too, I uploaded them to my youtube account yesterday if you fancy taking a look at those. But for now I’m looking back at 2015 and remembering it with a smile 🙂

January was a pretty quite month and saw the kids really looking forward to going back to school. I remember it being a really lovely time where we just sent lots of time playing together, watching movies and reading books. I hope this January is very similar.

During February half term we headed to Center Parcs. We spent nearly all of every day in the swimming pool and had a brilliant time. We’ve never gone away from home in February before but it is something I will most definitely do again as it is so nice to just have a break from the norm.

March was a horrible month for me and if you followed me back then you would have seen my pain coming through my blog but I managed to get through and took quite  a few visits to my favourite little cafe for some me time.

April saw us taking another little break to Potter’s Resort in Norfolk. It was so nice to get away to the seaside and have some awesome family time after a really hard couple of months.

The last week in May we spent at one of our favourite places in The UK, Croyde Bay in Devon. We had a lovely week, it wasn’t as warm as we would have liked it to be but we really made the most of it. We stayed in a gorgeous brand new lodge and we all squealed with delight when we opened the door as it was such luxury.

June saw us out in the great outdoors making campfires and eating Smores at Conkers, it was an absolutely brilliant day out even though it rained for most of the day.

July was all about us, we spend two nights in Cardiff together while my best friend looked after the kids. It was amazing and I can’t wait to get another break with this my fiancé this year!! Hehe Yes I can call him my fiancé now 😉

August was full of all things Summer! This photo is of Boo & Bugs with their little cousins Z & O, my sister Dawnie lives up north so we don’t get to see them very often, they usually spend a week down here in the Summer and we meet up and go out for the day. This year we spent the day together at Chatsworth and the kids had so much fun playing together, it makes me very sad that they don’t see each other very often. We spent the last week in Pembrokeshire having a wonderful family holiday, we stayed right on the beach and the kids just loved getting up each morning and getting straight on the beach, most mornings we would be the first on the beach. I am really hoping to get the same place this coming year too as I think it is the best place we have ever stayed in the UK.

September is my birthday month and the month Lero flew off to do charity work in Peru, I had such a lovely birthday meal at Pizza Express with my gorgeous kids.

In October we had a new addition to the family… Merlin the house bunny! He is a huge part of the family and this blog now! We love him so much and are hoping to get him a little friend to play with in the Spring 🙂

My oldest son Lero came back from his 6 weeks in Peru in November and I was so pleased to have him home safe. With him having a year out I have been able to spend a lot of quality time with him and it has been great. Looking forward to lots of the same this year before he heads to university in September.

Well the year has ended on a bit of a high for me as on Christmas day my man proposed and of course I said YES! We have been together for almost 12 years and have 2 wonderful children and I honestly never thought it was going to happen. He has made me the happiest woman alive 🙂

So yes 2015 went out with a real bang and I am really looking forward to what 2016 has in store for us!

Happy New Year everyone! May your 2016 be happy and healthy xxxx
