If your household is anything like mine then your food bill will almost double during the school holidays because my kids seem to have bottomless pits for stomachs! They are constantly asking for something to eat and I am always looking for good honest healthy snacks that aren’t full of sugar. We recently discovered Pik-Nik Twiller snacks and I am over the moon because my kids love them! Pik-Nik are cheese sticks made of delicious creamy mozzarella and they taste extremely good!
Personally my favourite thing about them is the fact that they make absolutely no mess! So they can eat them in the car, on the bus, on picnics, watching TV, even in bed (if they were allowed) 😉 making them perfect for slipping in your bag whenever you go out so you can easily and quickly stop those little cries of “i’m hungry” 🙂
One thing I do struggle with is getting some veggies into my kids so I like to get them making their own veggie kebabs as they don’t seem to be able to resist those, it must be because they have done all the hard work themselves so they just have to eat it 😉 Bugs would screw his nose up at a tomato if I put it on a plate for his dinner but if he puts in on a skewer then he LOVES them! Strange kid 😉 Add in some ham and a Pik-Nik cheese snack and you have the perfect afternoon snack.
Of course peeling them is the most fun as you can see in the photo below, Bugs really does have the time of his life with his Pik-Nik cheese snacks 🙂
Each Pik-Nik cheese snack contains a glass of fresh milk enhanced with natural ingredients. The milk used is mainly from grass-fed cows with no artificial colours or additives.
They are also suitable for vegetarians as Pik-Nik’s are made using a vegetarian rennet.
Pik-Nik is now enriched with Vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin… which I know we all need so much more of living in the UK! They are also a source of calcium, protein, vitamin A and E so you can rest assured that you are handing over a yummy and nutrious snack.
You can find PiK-Nik Twiller snacks in packs of 4 in the ethnic chilled food cabinet in your local Sainsbury’s so make sure you add some to your basket next time you see them 🙂
