These are some products that we have loved this month…
Based on an original English recipe from 1850, Grether’s Pastilles contain selected raw materials that are combined in a complex manufacturing process. With essences of sun-ripened berries and blossoms, effective glycerine and high-quality agar-agar, Grether’s Pastilles have a particularly soothing effect on sore throats, hoarseness, strained voice and a dry mouth. The carefully processed ingredients soothe irritation and coat overtaxed vocal cords like a protective film. Grether’s Pastilles develop their full-flavoured fruity taste thanks to the gentle and time-intensive production process and the unique three-month maturing process in special climatic chambers.
I love these Grether’s Pastilles, they are available in 4 lovely different flavours; blackcurrant, redcurrant, elderflower and blueberry. I suffer from dry mouth and being hoarse a lot of the time and I find these really help. I keep a tin in the car, one in my bag, one beside my bed and one on my desk so that I always have them to hand. They are great relief for the throat and voice and I believe they are very popular with lots of performers too.
I absolutely love these Gilette Venus & Olay™ razors. I just love the fact that you don’t need to buy any shaving gel and they smell divine too! My legs felt amazing after using these, so smooth and really well moisturised! You can get a special starter back at Boots right now which contains a handle and three blades for £10.99 – which is really great value!
I am in love with my new water bottle from Leakproof. 100% leak proof, BPA free, reusable, refillable, insulated stainless steel water bottle/flask. The ridged cap opens with just one twist, and the wide mouth provides a smooth, rapid flow. ThermoShield double walled vacuum insulated 18/8 stainless steel keeps your drink at the perfect temperature. It keeps drinks hot for up to 12 hours, or water cold for up to 24 hours. These drinks bottles stay sweat and condensation free so absolutely no concerns about rings on your table or dampness in your bag. The 500ml (17oz) bottle is the width of a can and fits most cup holders, bike bottle holders and external mesh pockets on rucksacks. The 500ml bottle sells for £19.99 over on the website but there are other sizes available and many other colours too.
The lovely people at NOW TV always look after me, they recently sent me new passes so I can keep up with my Grey’s Anatomy addiction with a Sky Cinema Pass and a Kids Pass too as well as some yummy treats! I absolutely love NOW TV, just being able to pick and choose what I want to watch whenever I want to watch it. I am so excited to see what Christmas films will be available this year 🙂
What I’ve Been Reading…
I’ve been really lazy when it comes to reading recently, I just haven’t found the time. But I have been listening to How Not to Fall in Love, Actually by Catherine Bennetto on Audible. I’ve not finished it yet but it is very entertaining. I’m dying to find out what happens as there is just no telling at the moment.
Emma has a job in television which is distinctly less glamourous and exciting than it sounds. She’s managed to claw her way up the ranks from Tea Maker and Rubbish Collector to Second Assistant Director (heavy on the assistant. Even heavier on the second.).
So when she finds she’s accidentally very pregnant and at the same time accidentally very sacked (well, less accidentally: she did tell her boss to stick his job up his bum), she knows things are going to have to change.
Luckily she’s also accidentally the heir to a lovely cottage in Wimbledon, with a crazy Doberman-owning octogenarian as a neighbour and a rather sexy boy as an accidental tenant. But this baby is coming whether she likes it or not, and she needs to become the sort of person who can look after herself, let alone another human being – and quickly.
I really need to get back into reading actual books again. It has been ages since I picked a book up and I have so many on my bookshelf. I think I need to start going to bed earlier so I can read for a bit instead falling straight into an exhausted sleep when I hit the pillow.
What I’ve Been Watching…
I’ve just watched the third season of Marvel’s Daredevil, I love anything Marvel. Daredevil is the story of Matt Murdock – who was blinded by a chemical spill as a young boy, who uses his heightened senses to fight crime on the streets as vigilante Daredevil. I’ve loved all three seasons now and can’t wait for the next season.
I’m also watching The Crown again as James wanted to watch it so we are watching that together. If you are looking for suggestions to watch them make sure you check out my recent post: 20 Box Sets to Binge Watch.
I am currently hosting four Christmas giveaways with more to come this week. If you haven’t seen them yet make sure you click the link above to have a look what is on offer and don’t forget to check out my Christmas Gift Guides too 🙂
That is all for this month, don’t forget to contact me soon if you have a product that you would like to see in my next edition!
