My Happy Days – 20th-26th April 2019

My Happy Days/ personal

I have to say I am really loving doing this project again… it really does help with my mental health! This week has been really lovely. We spent five nights in North Wales and were basically WiFi free for at least three of those days so it was really good to switch off… As I type this my youngest is playing on Fornite and I have to say I really haven’t missed all that shouting! I think I may have to stop him playing it as he is a much nicer person while he is not playing it.

Saturday 20th April – On Saturday we went on an egg hunt with the kids. We always go to the one at the local hospice as we love to help support them.  Last year it was raining and miserable but this year it was just glorious. There was so much beautiful blossom around and it makes me so happy 😀

Sunday 21st April – We had a very quiet Easter as I was packing for our holiday, I also hurt my back and foot while cycling so enjoyed a soak in the bath with a large glass of medicinal wine 🙂

Monday 22nd April – We were lucky enough to get invited to Slate Mountain to stay in one of their amazing glamping tents. Our tent was luxurious and so cosy! The kids tried to convince me to let them to have the king size bed but obviously I couldn’t let them have it 😉

Tuesday 23rd April – We were treated to a Slate Mountain Adventure Tour on Tuesday which was incredible really. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be writing all about our adventures over on The Places We Will Go very soon so make sure you are following us 🙂

Wednesday 24th April – Wednesday saw us move from Slate Mountain to a stunning AirBnb by the sea. The weather wasn’t too great when we arrived but I enjoyed a glass of wine while watching the waves.

Thursday 25th April – We headed to Portmeirion to explore on Thursday. The weather stayed fine and sunny for us all day thankfully and we spent hours walking around the woodlands and exploring the beautiful town. I had no idea Portmeirion existed until about a month ago. I’m so pleased I discovered it as it is such a stunning place.

Friday 26th April – Our last full day in North Wales so we decided to check out the beach at Llanbedrog and we were not disappointed. It is a beautiful beach with lots of colourful beach huts owned by the National Trust. Again we were incredibly lucky with the weather. We got back to our AirBnb and the heavens opened!

That’s all for this week… I’m sure next week won’t be half as good as we have to go back to school on Monday so the holiday fun has to come to an end! But never mind we have a very short half term… only 4 weeks!! until we break up for Spring Bank Holiday half term! Yay!

Wales is on my list of places to visit – I can’t believe I am 30 this year and haven’t been! It’s a shame it rained a bit but it still seems like you have a lovely trip

I love a good soak in the bath some times. I only manage it once every couple of weeks though.

Ahh! I had an argument today with my teen about her being online. She is a nicer person when she puts the electronics down.
I love this time of year when the blossom is out. It’s so pretty.
    Gorgeous photos x
