My Happy Days [17th Aug-6th Sept 2019]

My Happy Days/ personal

Finally I am getting chance to sit down and update you all. It’s been three weeks since I last posted my happy days project, two of those we spent in Cornwall and then the last week has just been busy getting the kids ready to go back to school. We had a wonderful end to the summer holidays in Cornwall. A week spent in Falmouth and a week in Bude, we were so lucky with the weather which meant we were able to spend a large part of our holiday on the beach. Absolute bliss! Liam spent a week with us too which was wonderful to have all my three children on holiday together, for the first time in EIGHT years! Anyway I’ve got loads to share so I’ll get on with it…

Saturday 17th August – We arrived in Cornwall! We just love being by the sea 🙂

Sunday 18th August – My family! So nice to have them all together for a change.

Monday 19th August – We explored lots of the Cornish coast, my favourite place was Kynance Cove, such a stunning place – my photo really doesn’t capture the beauty.

Tuesday 20th August – We cracked the maze at the National Trust’s Glendurgan… well the kids cheated but James and I made it 😂

Wednesday 21st August – We spent the day on the beach, this ones happy place.

Friday 22nd August – Our last night with Liam so we went our for a lovely dinner together. We had such a great with him and missed him very much the next week.

Friday 22nd August – James and Boo at dinner.

Saturday 23rd August – We moved from Falmouth to Bude, while we were waiting to check into our next AirBnb we decided to go cycling. We headed to the National Trust’s Lanhydrock. They have some fab cycle trails, some quite challenging but there is an easy one about 2km and a moderate about 3km. We did them both and this one loved them.

Sunday 24th August – I think I fell in love with Bude just a little bit more this year. I loved it already but going back for a second time just made my love stronger.

Tuesday 26th August – Watching the sunset 🙂

Wednesday 27th August – This is where we spent most of our week in Bude, there aren’t that many photos because I left my phone at home most days so we could just enjoy the waves. Such an awesome time we had.

Tuesday 3rd September – Off she went to her first day in year 8 on Tuesday. While Bugs was lucky enough to have an inset day.

Wednesday 4th September – That’s him back at school now too, year 5 for this one. Where did that go? He’s my blog baby… I started this blog exactly 9 years ago just after he was born! It’s crazy how time has flown by!

Wednesday 4th September – They go back to school and I treat myself to new nails. I fancied a bit of glitter and it’s getting rather autumnal out there so this colour jumped out at me.

Thursday 5th September – My birthday!!! My oldest never forgets me, he is such a good boy. He sent me these gorgeous flowers and chocolates because we couldn’t be together. Love him 🙂

Thursday 5th September – My friend treated me to an afternoon tea for my birthday yesterday, It was gorgeous – we had a lovely time! Really need to do it more often as we barely see each other anymore.

That’s all for this week. Thanks for stopping by. I’ll try and post more frequently now the kids are back at school. I’m off out tonight to celebrate my birthday and I can’t wait 🙂 Have a great weekend everyone x

A belated happy birthday! You went to some of my favourite places when you were down here and it was definitely good timing with the weather as we had a few very damp weeks in Cornwall ha 🙂 x
