My Happy Days – 11th-24th May 2019

My Happy Days/ personal

I’ve been a bit useless at taking photos over the last couple of week so I’ve merged my last two weeks into one post. Life has been really hectic and I haven’t really had a great deal to share. I enjoyed a day in the Yorkshire Dales on my own last week. I had breakfast and lunch out and spent the day walking and exploring and it felt amazing. I really need to do that for myself more often. I don’t think I have ever taken the day to do just whatever I want before but I really need to do it more often, it felt like my own little retreat and I felt free and wonderful.

Saturday 11th May – Love this little face. Enjoyed a walk to the local park this afternoon for a kick about. 💕

Sunday 12th May – Went out for a run this evening. I managed to do my fastest 5km this year. Knocked 9 seconds off per km… still not as fast as I was but I’m getting there. Then I enjoyed a glass of wine while watching Night Shift on Netflix. Anyone have any good recommendations for things to watch?

Monday 13th May – I spent the day in the Peak District with my oldest son Liam. We had such a lovely day and enjoyed a yummy pub lunch together too 🙂

Tuesday 14th June – Tuesday nights Boo does athletics so Bugs and I enjoyed the sunshine whilst watching her on the track.

Friday 17th May – I spent the morning having my hair done. I always leave it too long between appointments. I’m not very good at taking care of myself but it always makes me feel so good once it is done. Going to try and be a bit more regular in future.

Saturday 18th May – We were child free this evening as James was doing the Etape du Dales the next day so we enjoyed a lovely meal together and had an early night. A really early start to get James to the start line in the morning and then I’ve got the day to myself while he cycles for 110 miles. 😊

Sunday 19th May – So proud of this one who did the Etape Du Dales today. 110 miles of cycling in just over 7 hours. Incredible stuff. Meanwhile I had a wonderful day on my own exploring the Yorkshire Dales. 💕

Monday 20th May – Pretty tulips from my other half 🙂

Thursday 23rd May – Out for a beer on Thursday evening before going to the theatre. We watched The Girl on the Train at Theatre Royal in Nottingham. It was really good!

Friday 25th May – James took the day off work today and took me out for lunch. We ate in a pub garden and then had a walk by the river. Such a stunning day 🙂

That’s it for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend 🙂
