Mumpreneur Feature – Tilly Beazeley

Mum in Business

Tilly Beazeley the inventor of The Wean Machine is our mumpreneur feature on the blog today, stay a while and see if Tilly can inspire you in anyway & don’t forget to say hi :O)

Who are you?
Tilly Beazeley 36 year old from Berkshire and mum of one gorgeous blonde Ted aged 8.

What do you do?
I invented The Wean Machine, it makes fresh healthy baby food wherever you are.  Jackson Beazeley is a global company with distribution in over 60 coutries.

When did you establish your business?
Jackson Beazeley Ltd was incorporated in May 2007 and we had stock in hand by May 2009.

What made you start your own business?
The combination of opportunity and the feeling that I could do something that would help and education whilst making parents and carers lives easier – a general sense of duty to help share my passion of feeding future generations and to try and make a difference.

What do you love about working for yourself?
The autonomy.

Is there anything you do not like about working for yourself?
The autonomy!!!

Is there anything you would go back and do differently if you could?
Not listen to the bank – trust my own instincts more.

What advice would you give to a Mum considering starting her own business?
Believe in yourself but be aware everything takes longer and costs more than you can imagine.  Starting your own business is very stressful and exhausting – it will affect the whole family the good, the bad – the highs and the lows – it is never a 9am-5pm.

Look out for The Wean Machine review & giveaway next week :O)
