Who are you?
What do you do?
Graphic Designer, mummy and founder and owner of beeniebuds&co

When did you establish your business?
Aug 2011

What made you start your own business?
beeniebuds&co started off as a blog, as I’m a first time mummy I found myself searching for fun and practical kids products daily so I decided to set a blog up. Our blog is simple and inspirational, it shows the graphic side and parenting knowledge. Giving parents a variety of buying ideas. Since the blog launched in January the response we received from the blog has been endless. On those strengths I decided to create an online store selling the things we loved, which was featured on the blog and things we have found along the way.
What do you love about working for yourself?
Being my own boss and being creative with no limits.

Is there anything you do not like about working for yourself?
Oh yes working after hours even when little one has gone to bed! I always want to complete my to do list at the end of the day.

Is there anything you would go back and do differently if you could?
Nothing. What I’m doing now is one of my many dreams and I totally enjoy it.

What advice would you give to a Mum considering starting her own business?
The one advise I would give to any up and coming Mumpreneur is to do lots of research on your chosen subject. A full understanding before hand helped me out, also enjoy every moment!

You've got some gorgeous things Davina and I loved reading your "story". You sound like you love being your own boss just as much as I do! And thanks Sonia, I'm loving reading all the other mumpreneur stories, hope we can inspire a few more mums along the way, after all if you've run a household running a business will seem like a piece of cake 😉 xx
