Today I have a lovely Mum in business for you all to get to know. If you are a blogger then you may recognise Helen from The Crazy Kitchen. Well last year Helen started her very own fabulous business Cookies and Fluff and she is here to tell you all about it today 🙂
Who are you?
Helen Jessup
What do you do?
I make and sell handmade marshmallows
When did you establish your business?
December 2015
What made you start your own business?
I already have an ecommerce business selling baby swimming nappies that I’ve been running for a number of years, as well as my food blog which has been going since 2011, but recently I found myself with a little more time on my hands that I wanted to fill running a business doing something that I really enjoy – cooking.
What do you love about working for yourself?
Working hours to fit around the family
Is there anything you do not like about working for yourself?
Sometimes working long hours and late into the evening
What advice would you give to a Mum considering starting her own business?
Come up with a few ideas based around things that you enjoy doing & then do plenty of research to see if it’s already being done, and if there is a market for your ideas, as well as suppliers.
You can follow Helen and her business at the following places…
