Mud Pie Fun with Bear

We were very excited to receive a parcel from the lovely people at BEAR last week, it contained our very own Little Paws Outdoors explorer kit with an outdoor alphabet card to make some lovely mud pies. You can see our mud pie fun in the video at the end of the post but first I want to tell you all about BEAR and its Little Paws Outdoors campaign.

At BEAR they believe in getting little cubs back to nature… both in what they eat and what they do! That’s why they have teamed up with The Wildlife Trusts to get more little paws outdoors! I think this is an amazing campaign and am so happy to be part of it!

In each pack of Paws you will find three free outdoor alphabet cards which are full of outdoor adventures for your little cubs to try. They are also perfect for helping little ones learn their letters and have a go at spelling words too.

If you haven’t had Paws before I would definitely give them a try, my kids LOVE them and take them for their healthy snack at school every day. They are pure 100% fruit shapes with absolutely no added nonsense and come in four different recipes… strawberry & apple, apple & blackcurrant, mango & strawberry or raspberry & blueberry. Mango & Strawberry are the current favourites with my two.

The outdoor alphabet cards are fab and have some great ideas for activities that you can do outdoors this summer! I had forgotten all about playing the grass whistle so that is something I look forward to teaching the kids soon and the apple eating game looks like that could be fun!

So as I mentioned we were sent everything we needed to make some glorious mud pies… except the mud that is 😉

These are the instructions so you can have a go at making some for yourself! Make sure you show me some pictures on Twitter if you do! I’d love to see them 🙂

Bugs had so much fun making these and he really loved decorating them with some little flowers and things he found around the garden.

These are our finished mud pies, I think you will have to agree that they look delicious… almost better looking than any actual cupcakes than I have ever made 😉  We made a little video too which you can see below… Enjoy 🙂

That’s SO funny!!!!!! I have literally just written a post about my love of mud-pies when I was a little girl!!!! There was a fab HUGE outdoor kitchen called Lizzie’s Way at last year’s Camp Bestival which the boys LOVED!!! I think your little man would love it there too 😉
