Merry Christmas Everyone

Well I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, so I thought I’d join in with the Christmas tag post since the lovely Care tagged me in it the other day 🙂

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

I think it has to be It’s a Wonderful Life… it’s such a beautiful story and just makes me appreciate everything I have in life.

Have you ever had a White Christmas?

Yes we had quite a few as a child, I remember playing in the fields with my big brother and sister on Christmas Day. I’ve not had many as an adult but I do remember one when Liam was about 4 and I was stood outside with my next door neighbour (my best friend) at 6am and it was snowing really huge flakes. It was amazing!

Where do you usually spend your holidays?

At home; always at home… there’s no place like it 🙂

What is your favourite Christmas song?

Oh it has to be All I want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey…

How can you not like it?

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

No but the kids get a Christmas Eve hamper left for them by our elf Elfie. It usually contains some new pjs, a mug, everything they need to make hot chocolate, some biscuits and a new book. It really helps getting them settled for bed on Christmas Eve.

Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Erm let me see… Comet, Cupid, Donner, Dancer, Vixen, Prancer, How many are there? Rudolph, Dasher, Blixen… is that it? I can’t think of anymore!

Which holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?

We don’t have that many traditions apart from the Christmas Eve hamper. I just look forward to watching the kids open their pressies and cooking a big dinner for everyone.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake – It cost a bloody fortune and I love it. It is pre-lit so I don’t have to arse about with putting the lights on every year ;D

What is your favourite holiday treat/sweet/food?

All of it… I love all of the food. Well I hate sprouts, mince pies and Christmas cake but everything else can get in my belly 😉

Be honest, do you prefer giving or receiving gifts?

Giving makes me incredibly happy but I’d be gutted if I didn’t get a pressie or two 😉

What is the best Christmas present that you have ever received?

I literally have no idea. I remember some awesome roller skates that my big sister bought me when I was little! I loved those! I also had a drum kit one Christmas but I couldn’t play and my parents couldn’t afford to get me lessons but I bloody loved it! I guess the engagement ring that James got me last year would be the best thing anyone has ever bought me though!

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

Lapland. I’ve wanted to go since I was little and it’s on my list of things to do in 2017 so fingers crossed we make it 🙂

Are you a pro wrapper or do you fail miserably?

Oh I love wrapping! Love it!

Most memorable Christmas moment?

When my Jamesy proposed last Christmas after 12 years together… I never thought he’d get round to it 😉

What made you realise the truth about Santa?

What is the truth about Santa?

What makes the holidays special for you?

Getting to spend lots of special times with my family. I love nothing more than snuggling up with James and the kids. I love all the magic and amazement from the kids. It is just so special!

This will be my last post this year, I really hope you all have a wonderful Christmas time and a very very Happy New Year 🙂

See you all in January – let’s hope 2017 is an amazing year for all of us xxxx

These are fab. I would love to visit Lapland. It’s not cheap though, but I would love it. Santa, of course he’s real and I never open gifts of Christmas eve, especially with my son having his birthday. Hope you all had a great Christmas x

Lapland is top of my list too and have already put the feelers out for prices – it’s not cheap is it?
