#LittleLoves – Sweet Little Lies, Episodes and Spa Days

I’ve managed to refocus myself this week, I’d been wallowing during January, suffering with my mood, the cold and just being plain miserable but I am happy to say that this week I have resurfaced and am now getting back on track. I’ve made myself a work/home life organiser so I actually have time slots for work now and days when I am to do chores etc so hopefully I will be more organised from now on. I’ve just got to start getting out running again!!

Here’s what i’ve been loving this week 🙂

I am currently reading Sweet Little Lies by Caz Freer, I’ve not read enough to tell you how much I like it or not yet but a couple of chapters in and so far so good. I see it has good reviews on Amazon as well so I am hopeful. It’s managed to draw me in and keep me wanting more so far anyway so I’ll report back next week when I’ve finished it 🙂

I watched the 4th season of Grace and Frankie last week! I just loved it! I really hope that’s what my life is like when I am their age 😉 The seasons are over far too quickly for my liking… I’m really hoping there will be a 5th season.

The only other thing I have watched recently is called Episodes, I’m watching it with James and we usually watch a few episodes of it on a Friday night if we are home together. It stars Matt Le Blanc as himself and Tamsin Greig & Stephen Mangan from Green Wing.

We were drawn to it because we loved Green Wing and was hoping for that kind of humour. It’s definitely not as good as Green Wing but really does have some funny moments. It was a bit cringeworthy at first and I’d often think ‘why am I watching this?’ but we’ve both really warmed to it and are really enjoying it now.

I downloaded Audible this week because I was tempted with a free book offer and I actually listened to Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine in a couple of days and just absolutely loved it. It really is worth a read or listen if you are looking for your next book 🙂

This is the first time I have used Audible and I really loved it as I could listen to my book while I’m cooking etc. I’d probably get through more books that way but I looked into the subscription charges and it is £7.99 for one month and you only get to listen to one book for that. So I’m not sure if I’ll be continuing my subscription or not at the moment.

I made a bucket list yesterday, it only has twenty items on it so far but I find I am much more focused with my life when I know what I want to achieve with it. Some of the things on it I’ll probably never get round to doing but shoot for the stars and all that 😉

On top of my list is to get married, we have been together for fourteen years now and engaged for the last two. A wedding just seems like a huge waste of time and money but it is something I really want to do. I keep saying we will just go away and just have a little ceremony for us and the kids but in truth I’d really like a big wedding with all my friends and family there. I guess we really need to decide whether it is more important than a new kitchen 😉

Yesterday after school we got out the Hama Beads and made these beauties. It was lovely to just sit and create. I’m on a mission to spend much more time doing stuff with the kids as I have been guilty of letting them spend far too much time on their iPads. Those days are gone and we are loving spending more time together. 💕

Last Friday we spent the day at the spa at Ye Olde Bell and I wore a grey robe all day. It was the most wonderful day I’ve had for a long time and I really didn’t want to leave.

Every other spa I have been to have always had white robes but this one was gorgeous and I really wanted to take it home with me. I’m on the lookout for a lovely new robe now if you have any recommendations 🙂

and Lastly…

It makes me so happy to have my home filled with Spring flowers at the moment, they really do cheer me up. I’ve been so miserable for the last few weeks but now I see the first signs of Spring it really is starting to lift my mood again. Now if it could just warm up life would be perfect 😉

I’m off out tonight to a gin tasting event with friends… I really can’t wait for that 😉

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you all have a great weekend x

I know exactly how you feel, January was a struggle for me too. I keep thinking about using a planner to try to organise my time better, most of the time I feel like a busy fool, rushing around always busy but getting nothing done.

A spa day sounds like the perfect medicine, I feel like I need a day of relaxation to refocus my mind xx

What a jam packed Little Loves, it’s fantastic!
Oh Grace and Frankie is just the best. I’m just annoyed I’ve watched them all too quickly. No doubt I’ll be going back and watching them all over again at some point.
A spa day sounds like absolute perfection right about now! xx

Oh I’m about to start reading Eleanor Oliphont, so glad to hear it was a good read! I’m totally with you about spring flowers, I have daffodils every where in my house to try and brighten it up a little x
