Lego Duplo Creative Cakes Review

Review/ Toy Review/ Toyologist/ Toysrus

Another toy from our Toyologist box was this Lego Duplo Creative Cakes. We absolutely adore Lego & Duplo in this house! This box is aged from 2-5 years and as Boo is almost 6 I do think it is a little young for her, It’s not something I would choose to buy her but she has loved playing with it! All little girls (and boys) love making cakes and this box has lots of cake pieces and candles for you to get creative with!

Comes in a not so sturdy cardboard box with plastic lid.

The set comes in an attractive cardboard box with plastic lid; as with duplo sets I have bought before I would like to see this come in a hard plastic box as I am sure the box will not last as long as the Duplo does.

Special Birthday Cupcakes 🙂

With most Lego products I have bought I am always left feeling a little disappointed that they only included a very small number of  “the special bricks” – this box just includes  2 cake cases &  3 candles; I would have liked to seen more in there but this didn’t seem to bother the kids and they had fun making up their own cake designs and serving them in their little cafe. There are 55 pieces in total and it comes with a little leaflet with about 3 pages of ideas to help your little ones make yummy cakes 🙂

A leaflet is included with 3 pages of ideas

Lego Duplo Creative Cakes is available at ToysRus for £19.99 which I personally feel is a little over-priced but the great thing about these sets is you can mix and match between them and even use them with Lego! If you were to buy this for a 2 year it would be great value but a 5 year old not so much.
