January 19 – This Mummy Loves…

This Mummy Loves.../ TML Monthly

Hi everyone and welcome to January’s issue of This Mummy Loves… This post is all about everything that we have been loving over the last month. It is full of products that we have been sent to try, ones that we have bought ourselves and loved so much that we just had to share them with you and it is also full of things that we have loved doing too.

If you would like to have a product featured in the next edition of This Mummy Loves… which will be February 2019 now – please send me an email to to see if your product is suitable for us.

This is what we have been loving this month…

I found these beautiful tulips in Tesco a couple of weeks ago and was over the moon because tulips are my absolute favourite flowers especially this colour…. I think they remind me of the sunset, such beautiful colours!

James and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary this month, to celebrate we headed into the Peak District for a day of walking. It was a gorgeous day… bitterly cold but beautiful. You can read all about our walk from Mam Tor to Lose Hill here. We also explored Biddulph Grange Garden and Sudbury Hall with the kids.

I discovered Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix and have got addicted to sorting out our house. I’m only doing it in small steps as nothing else would get done if I decided to do it all at once but thus far I have done my clothes, the kids clothes and mine and the kids books. It really is a wonderful feeling to have organised and cleared out so much stuff. I’m very eager to move on to the next stage which is paper. If you haven’t seen it, I really do recommend you watch it or read her book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying by Marie Kondo. I just listened to it on Audible and it gave me so many great ideas.

This month I have been taking part in Red January which is about being active every day, however you choose. I intended to run everyday but for 2 or 3 days my legs were killing me so I decided to do a nice long walk on those days to give my legs a bit of a rest. But I have indeed been much more active and I have felt so good for doing it. I treated myself to a new pair of trainers as I was running so much 🙂 I will be continuing my running journey throughout the year… not everyday but 3-4 times a week.

I had my nails done yesterday and I just love them. Having nice nails is my little treat to me each month as it really does make me feel better to have nice nails.

I went out with the girls on Saturday night and had such a fab night. We went out for tapas which were delicious and then went on to a new gin bar which was awesome, we have already booked to go for a gin afternoon tea as we loved it so much. Anyway I tried this Copperhead London Dry Gin and it was absolutely delicious! I am going to have to treat myself to a bottle sometime. It is definitely one to add to my favourite gin list.

I treated myself to these Elemis goodies in the sale and I just love them so much! I had the body oil used on me at a spa once before and the smell just reminds me of that day so it is very relaxing. I used it in my hair the other day and it left it feeling amazing!

That is all for this month, don’t forget to contact me soon if you have a product that you would like to see in my next edition!

I love tulips and those ones look so beautiful. I daren’t look at Marie Kondo as our house is a tip at the moment and I really don’t have spare time to sort it all yet!

Love those nails! So pretty. I am enjoying the tulips from the shops now too, and they add some much needed colour and vibrancy to the rooms…buy a few bundles every week to cheer myself up.
