This morning the kids have happily gone off to school after a fantastic half term up north. We spent the week at my sister’s house as they went off to Italy for the week. It was really nice to explore Durham and the surrounding areas a bit more. My bathroom work has started this morning so it is pretty chaotic here but hopefully it will be worth it when it is all done! I’m very excited to have a brand new bathroom 🙂
Here are my favourite photos from the last couple of weeks 🙂
I just love this photo of my youngest two having a cuddle at bedtime. They bicker and fight almost constantly so it is lovely to capture their affection.
We were very lucky to win the huge bean bag on Twitter a couple of weeks ago! The kids absolutely love it 🙂
We loved watching our caterpillars turn into butterflies. If you haven’t done it yet I would highly recommend it.
I just adore this photo of Bugs with one of the butterflies. He really loved them, Boo was a bit nervous when they were on her but Bugs couldn’t get enough 🙂
I really love getting to go to school and seeing my kids in their environment. They love it too but I always feel so bad for the kids that don’t have any parents there so I try and involve those in whatever we are doing too.
Bugs searching for sea glass on the beach. We found loads and are putting it all in a glass jar at home 🙂
There is a lovely wood near my sister’s house which we walked in, the flare from the sun was amazing!
That’s another National Trust property ticked off our list. We loved our day at Gibside.
My sister has a fab garden for the kids to play in. Our garden at home is really small so they are very jealous and missing this space now.
On our last day up north we spent at the seaside doing traditional English seaside things like eating delicious fish & chips, riding on the fun fair and playing on a chilly beach 😉 It was awesome!
I feel such calm by the sea, it is my goal to live nearer one day!
