Help Bugs Raise £100 for Children with Cancer

At the start of the year Bugs my 7 year old sat down to write his new years resolutions, I’m not sure where he got this idea from as it isn’t something we really do as a family so I think they must have talked about it at school or something.

His list kind of went like this…

  • Eat healthier food
  • Be kinder to my sister
  • Raise £100 for poorly children

I can’t remember what else was on there and I don’t seem to be able to find it but he’s not doing too bad with them. He has been learning about eating healthily at school and is really making healthier choices. He is trying his best to be kinder to his sister but it really works both ways and she isn’t particularly friendly towards him 😉

We talked about how he wanted to raise money for poorly children and he said he wanted to run a 5km race but after doing Junior Parkrun which is 2km a few times he really does struggle with his asthma so I knew doing a 5km in one go would be a bit of a struggle for him so when I saw the Mr Men and Little Miss challenge to run 25km during the month of March I thought it would be perfect for him as he can break his runs down to 1km, 2km and 3km and complete it over the month.

Bugs really wants to reach his goal of raising £100 so if you would be able to support him that would be amazing! You can find his page here. He will be sent a medal if he gets over £100 so I would love for him to get one to remember his great efforts.

The money raised will go to the Children with Cancer UK charity which is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. Their aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children. So it is very worthwhile cause and we are happy to be supporting them.

We will let you know how he gets on at the end of March but we will be documenting his progress over on our instagram channel so why not head over and give us a follow x x
