Don’t you just love it when you are given the opportunity to try a product and it actually makes you squeal with delight?!! That’s exactly how I feel about the Bamboo Spark! I had never heard about them before I got the email; now I feel like I’ve been missing out for the last however many years! I am an obsessive note taker so this product is perfect for me and it is great for the kids to use too!
The Bamboo Spark is a smart folio with a smart ballpoint pen, and a spot for your favorite paper. It lets you write by hand, and saves your handwritten notes locally or within the cloud for editing, archiving and accessing anywhere.
What’s included?
- A smart folio with gadget pocket (My iPad mini just fits in this)
- A smart ballpoint pen
- USB cable for charging
- 2 pen refills (Replacements can be purchased… a pack of 3 is £7.99)
As it is soon to be Father’s Day the kids have been challenged to come up with their very own superhero Dad for their Father’s Day cards using the Bamboo Spark and here are the pictures that have come up with…

First Boo (9) drew her super hero Dad using the Bamboo Spark.

Then she added some colour using the Bamboo Paper app.

Love how Bugs (5) included ‘stincky’ as a quality 😉

and now with a bit of colour added 🙂
Awww I think they look great and we have already printed them out ready to stick on their Father’s Day cards. I am sure Daddy is going to just LOVE them!
The kids think that the Bamboo Spark is magic & I have to pretty much agree with them. It’s awesome to see your notes automatically synced to your iPad! You can also convert your handwriting to text, which is pretty awesome. That’s how I’m writing this blog post at the moment. Handwriting it on a notepad and then converting to text when I’ve finished!! I just love good old-fashioned writing so I feel as if I have got my love for writing back again today… So you may find that I ‘m going on a bit 😉
The only one thing that annoys me about the Bamboo Spark is that I keep going to put the top on the top of the pen whilst I am writing and it falls off but that is the only little niggle I have which I am sure I will get used to this. I’m a creature of habit and things that I have always done take a while to be forgotten 😉
So yes I love the Bamboo Spark and it has quickly become a favourite gadget! The kids love to see their drawings magically appear on the iPad and they’ve been happily scribbling away pictures for Grandparents and friends.
