Since I started running my Instagram Weekly linky a few people have asked how I get my Instagram photos on my blog like I do so I thought I’d explain how I do this. Hope to see lots more of you taking part now 😉
1. Go to your profile…
2. Click on the photo you want to use…
3. Next to the photo you will see the comment section; click on those three dots…
4. Embed will pop up like so…
5. Click Embed and the code to copy and paste into your blog post will appear.
6. Paste this code into your blog post, sometimes the photo will not appear in editor but once published it will.
You can choose whether you include the caption that you originally added with your Instagram photo. I usually include this but have found that if you used emoticons then it goes a little wonky.
You can also change the size that you want by scrolling down to the 5th line where it says ‘max-width:658px;’ – I always change mine to 400px for a better fit on my blog.
Hope that helps :O)

Great that you’re sharing such useful tips! It’s something we have previously done as ‘the norm’ but we stopped after the recent change to the interface of what’s embedded. Only minor changes, but changes that somehow just didn’t suit the look of our posts. Probably just us being picky – yours look great though.
Great idea, I can see this coming in useful for me
I tried this recently on my blog & it just wouldn’t work *sigh *
I’ve only started embedding instagram photos lately, but I had no idea how to change the size, so thank you for the tip! 🙂 x
Great idea and a lovely blog post thanks for showing us
oh brilliant – that is just what i needed – thank you! I once managed to get a pic across but then never managed it again and couldn’t figure out how on earth to do it! Thanks so much!!! xxx
