Draw with Me – May 2014

Draw With Me

Running a bit last minute this month, Boo was still finishing off her drawing at bedtime last night. It’s been really hectic at home recently with the kids being on holiday from school, as I am sure it has for most of you too!

Anyway we are here now with this months Draw with Me…

What is Draw With Me?

Draw with me is a  linky which Boo & I have come up with together and are really excited about! Boo is a very very keen artist and loves to draw and do anything creative and she loves me to give her a theme when she wants to draw but can’t think of anything. She is also very keen on getting involved with my blog and taking part in reviews etc so I thought this would be perfect to put the two together.

Basically once a month I set a theme and we then get our kids to interpret that theme by drawing a picture! Each month there will be a great ‘creative’ prize for one random winner; this will be picked out of a hat by Boo herself! We love the idea of the kids being rewarded for their willingness to take part so I’m hoping to get runner-up prizes each month too! If you are a ‘creative’ business reading this and would like to donate prizes then please get in touch.

April’s Winner

The winner of the Travel Doodles Activity Cards from April’s Draw with Me is Alana from The House of Three Monkeys with the lovely drawing of her family. Congratulations Alana I will get in touch with your Mum to arrange your prize 🙂

The Theme.

The theme this month is… Under the Sea.

So get the kids some colouring pens and paper and let them show us what they can do! Just let them interpret the theme however they wish :)

We cannot wait to see all this months results!!

What an adorable picture! I love that they are all happy and smiling! My kids love anything to do with the sea and sea animals so they’ll enjoy this theme! I’ll be back later in the month to link up 🙂

I love this linky and I have been terrible at getting my girls to join in. I so want them to but I have a head worse than a sieve at times and keep forgetting. We were going to do the spring one but by the time I had got them going it had finished. We have nothing on tomorrow so I am going to go to bed chanting ‘draw under the sea’ in an attempt to remember it for tomorrow. I love Boo’s drawing – very colourful and so many creatures!

I like the fact that all of these creatures have a smile… cute 😉

mine loves drawing, they are getting more clear as to what they are but that’s not important right now, just the love of drawing and painting. Love Boo’s sea picture, very talented already!

What a great idea for a Linky! I love kids drawings they are so imaginative. Nancy is just starting to use crayons, well she mainly eats them right now!

I’m hoping my girls will grow up to have more interest in drawing and colouring. I have to fight with my three year old to get her to do anything more than scribble – she kind of drew a face once 😉 – maybe when she’s bigger we’ll get involved but for now I’ll get this shared on Twitter :D!

is it May already? Time is flying by! That under the sea picture is AWESOME!!! Looks so professional too – it could be used as a logo or something. Amazing! Will get my boys ‘on it’ as they say in NCIS. xxx
