Disney’s Zootropolis Film Review

Adventures/ Review

The lovely people at Disney sent us a fab Zootropolis goodie bag and sent us along to our local cinema to watch the newly released Zootropolis last weekend. Our local cinema is a Showcase Cinema De Luxe… which has the most amazing reclining sofa’s and so much room!  It is an absolute joy to watch a film there 🙂

The t-shirts that the kids are wearing were in their awesome goodie bag and you can buy those from the Disney Store as well as lots of other awesome Zootropolis merchandise. Bugs is wearing the Zootropolis Fox T-Shirt and Boo has the Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps T-Shirt.

I think you will agree that they are pretty cool 😉

Kitted out in their Zootropolis t-shirts we headed off to watch the film. I’ll give you a little overview of the film and then let Boo and Bugs let you know what they thought too 🙂

I’ll start by saying that we all really loved the film… it was entertaining, funny and heartwarming. Both kids sat glued to the screen and were chuckling away. It really is worth going to watch even Daddy agrees and he is pretty hard to please when it comes to kids films!!

The Story

The story follows Judy Hopps who is a little bunny with a dream to become the first bunny cop. Against everyone’s advice she succeeds and becomes the first bunny cop in Zootropolis. She soon finds that being a little bunny cop amongst much bigger tougher animals isn’t that easy but she is determined and takes on a huge mysterious case and ends up working with hustler fox Nick Wilde to solve the mystery.

A little interview with Bugs…

What was your favourite part of Zootropolis?

When Nick was pretending to be a savage and Judy was pretending to be bleeding and was squirting sauce everywhere.

Who was your favourite character?

The Sloth (Flash) – his face was so funny when he was laughing and I love him telling jokes.

A little interview with Boo…

What was your favourite part of Zootropolis?

When Flash was driving the really fast car at the end and the faces he was making when was laughing & telling his joke. I also liked the way the fox and bunny got together and were good friends. The city was awesome, I loved the hamsters coming down the tubes and the train which had different size doors for the different animals.

Who was your favourite character?

Judy Hopps because she was so funny when she was pretending she was dying. She was brave and got to be what she wanted to be even though everyone told her it was impossible.

Here is a little preview of the film for you, if you haven’t been to watch it yet make sure you do! 🙂

Have you seen Zootropolis yet? What was your favourite part?

We saw it Saturday and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT – it’s definitely a MUST SEE but you know it is called Zootopia and not Zootropolis (that’s the name of the City) LOL.
Just thought I’d let you know in case you wonder why this post doesn’t come up in search results for Zootopia – but it probably will anyway, due to the words Zootropolis and Disney so no worries 🙂

The film in the UK is actually called Zootropolis.

You know what happened. I was so perplexed by the diversity issues in the film and what they may or may not mean that I spent the weekend, after seeing the film, reading reviews. They must have all been American as they were all referring to it as Zootopia and that’s what’s fixed in my head now, despite having, prior to the weekend, seen the UK TV trailer adverts. I am so so sorry. What an idiot LOL

Haha it’s OK, I was so confused when I started tagging my photos on instagram and Zootopia kept coming up! I had to go off and research 😉

We’ve seen it and love it too! We all loved Officer Hops – inspirational and feisty. And Flash the sloth made us all chuckle. Thought the detail in this film was incredible. And I love your kids’ t-shirts!
