Christmas Gift Guide for Kids 2018

Christmas Gift Guide

I’m really starting to get quite excited about Christmas. I love shopping for gifts for my favourite people. I love trying to find unusual gifts and always try my best to support shopping locally or from small businesses. Today I’m sharing some of the products that have caught my eyes for the kids. This year I am really trying to cut down on ‘things’ and make it more about experiences and spending time with family.

If you have an animal lover then why not treat your child to an animal experience? You can have breakfast with big cats, shadow a monkey keeper, meet the meerkats and much more.

The new Tom Gates: What Monster is a must have for any little Tom Gates fan. This series of books have been both of my kids favourite, Boo aged 12 has grown out of them now and passed them all down to Bugs aged 8 who just LOVES them and will be over the moon to receive the new one this Christmas.

The Bonkers Gamer Bean Bag (Now £59.99) is the perfect gift for your little gaming fan. It’s big enough to be used by teens and adults and is ideal for gaming or just watching TV. It’s available in 11 different colours too!

If you have a teen you will know just how difficult it is to get them to wear a coat. Boo absolutely loves her adidas Originals girls’ padded jacket (£65.00) though and practically lives in it! It is so cosy, I wish it was available in my size 😉

If your little one is on the lookout for a new friend then the Crate Creatures Surprise (Now £31.99) are just adorable! Bugs favourite part of his Crate Creature Pudge is using him to record phrases and play them back in Pudge’s monstrous voice.

Indoor Skydiving would make an amazing gift. Children from the age of 4 can have a go and it is such an awesome experience.

Microsoft Xbox One S Console is at the top of both my kid’s wish lists this year… whether they’ll be getting one or not is a different matter 😉

My kids have been obsessed with slime for the last year or so and are always looking for different kinds to make, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this Cra-Z-Art Cra-Z-Slimy Creations Chalkboard Slime Kit (£19.97) before so I think they would love to give it a go.

We discovered Qwirkle earlier this year and it has fast become our new favourite game to play as a family. It’s not a short game, we can often be playing it for a couple of hours but it really gets your mind working!

Fed up of the kids fighting? Then make sure you add Beat The Parents to their stockings this year! They’ll soon be working together to try and beat you!

Another new book release which will be under our tree this year is the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book The Meltdown. This series of books has been another big hit wth both of my kids and you can never have enough books in my opinion 😉

If you have a Harry Potter fan then these LEGO Brickheadz are so adorable! If you are feeling a little more generous then Lego Hogwarts is sure to be a winner!

This Muddy Madness Mud Kitchen would be the perfect present for a little one! Imagine how much fun they’s have making mud pies with this!

I know Father Christmas often brings a bike for a kid’s main Christmas present and he definitely won’t go far wrong if he bought the Ridgeback Dimension 20, it is such a fantastic little bike!

Lovely items you’ve rounded up here, I know my goddaughter is in need of a padded jacket and my nephew has grown out of his bike so a new one is needed

You’ve got some great ideas here. I never thought of an animal experience for a gift but it would be perfect for my son in a few years.

I love some of these ideas. Especially the mud kitchen! I really want one of these for our garden! We’ve managed to avoid the slime craze so far but I have a feeling my daughter is going to ask for some for Christmas. x

I am all for not adding to the clutter and my three enjoy a good experience as well as their toys, so apart from a few longed for lego items or some toys, I think we will go down this route

How sweet are those Crate Creatures? Love the idea of the gaming bean bag that would be perfect for my nephew.

I am 100% with you when it comes to focusing on experiences rather than more stuff. My 4 have a lot of things, but what they value most is time I give them, might it be a wonderful experience like seeing the Nutcracker or even just a day spent going to the park just 1-to-1 and have hot chocolate in a cafe. x
