Last week I brought you our food and drink Christmas gift guide and today I will be bringing you a selection of brilliant Advent calendars; not just for kids but for grown ups too! There are so many Advent calendars out there to choose from nowadays and I always love that time of year, the kids happily rush downstairs each morning to open yet another door. I had a Yankee Candle Advent calendar last year and it was such a treat for me.
Advent Calendars for kids…
My favourite this year is this Christmas Tree Advent Chest from JoJo Maman Bébé, it costs £15.00 but can be used year after year and it looks so pretty. I love that you get to choose whatever you want to go inside it. I haven’t decided what to fill it with yet so if you have any ideas please leave them in the comments.
For the past few years we have been Playmobil Playologists and as part of that the kids have been sent one of their fab Advent Calendars each year. This year we have received the Christmas room with illuminating tree one. Each day you open a door to reveal a piece to the scene and on Christmas Eve the scene is complete. The kids will love the illuminating tree this year. This is priced at £19.99 and is worth every penny as Playmobil is such a brilliant toy all year round.
I can see this Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar (£21.00) being a huge hit this Christmas. We had a Lego one a couple of years back and it was brilliant. I’m really tempted to treat Bugs to this one this year.
I love this Advent Candle, I have never actually had one before and I think it is a lovely way to count down to Christmas. This one is priced at £8.00 which I think is a bargain.
Advent Calendars for her…

CHEEKY Nail Polish Advent Calendar – £49.00
I’m a huge nail polish fan so I would just LOVE to open this Cheeky nail polish Advent each day.
I’ve been coveting the No7 Advent calendar for a few years now, I love No7 products so I am really hoping I will be able to pick one of these up this year :O)

Yankee Candle Advent Calendar – £20.00
As I said earlier I had a Yankee Candle Advent last year and would absolutely love one again this year. It was so nice to burn a lovely Christmas scent every day on the build up to Christmas 🙂
My favourite chocolate is Lindt so if I was to have a chocolate calendar then this would be my idea of perfection – so cute!!

The Ginvent Calendar (2015 Edition) – £114.95
If I was feeling flush I might be tempted to treat myself to the Ginvent! Ha I just love this, it contains a sample of different gin every day. Some how I don’t think i’d be able to stomach this before breakfast though 😉
Advent Calendars for him…

Neideregger Marzipan Advent Calendar – £12.00
My other half loves Marzipan so this is definitely something that I would buy for him.

Christmas Beard Oil Advent Calendar – £29.99
Since growing his beard this year my other half has a little obsession with nice beard oils, well now he can have a new scent every single day with this awesome Advent calendar from The Bearded Man Company 🙂

Craft Beer Advent Calendar – £80.00
Surely there isn’t a man alive who wouldn’t just LOVE this Beer Advent Calendar?
I hope this gift guide gives you some inspiration 🙂
I’d love to know what you do for Advent? Do you treat yourself to a lovely calendar, make one or something else?

I must admit I am torn between the No 7 calendar and the beer one – not sure what that says about me.
They do so many amazing ones now don’t they! I adore that very top one – might have to invest in one, so pretty! My boys would love one of the toy filled ones too!
Ooh what a great round up! I love the beer one and oh my goodness – marzipan every day?! Perfect!!
Ha, seriously considering the craft beer one, hubby would love it! They all look amazing, your choice of Advent calendars, we have a Lego one for Emma but I am very tempted to get myself a Yankee Candle one as well!xx
I really want to get Eliza the playmobil advent calendar as got the lego last year and she was too young for it
The mind boggles that there are just so many to choose from and where would you even start!
I love advent, but am going to say that I go against the grain with extravagant advent calenders. I think that it really detracts from the meaning and also in today’s commercialised world I realise that my kids are spoilt enough. I think a simple chocolate one for kids is great. I do love the first one, you could add your own chocolates of small tokens for kids in
I would love the No7 calendar, but can’t really justify buying it for myself. We had the playmobil one last year for our daughter and she absolutely loved it and was very good value for money 🙂
How adorable is the JoJo Maman Bebe calendar? Love it. We have an advent candle each year and the kids love lighting it and then studiously watching until it gets to the right point to blow it out, would highly recommend. Also I am crossing my fingers for the Yankee Candle advent calendar this year, I think it would be brill.
A fabulous selection here, I looked at the Yankee one today and ended up walking away as £25 is a lot of money for a frivolous advent calendar however still better than chocolate which I really don’t want on the run up to Christmas.
I also love the gin one but I try not to drink on School nights so that won’t do either, nice idea though!
There’s so may amazing advents around nowadays aren’t there? The gin one or the Yankee for me!
I do wonder who buys the though, do people buy them for themselves or do they get them as gifts? I’m not sure I could justify splurging that kind of cash on myself!
What a great round-up of advent calendars, and a great selection for adults too.
I am loving some of the advent calenders that are out this year, such great ideas. x
Oh wow, something for everyone! I know my son would love the Star Wars one, my daughter the Playmobil, my husband the Lindt and I want that Yankee candle one! x
