The lovely people at Glasses Direct contacted me recently to see if I’d like to choose a pair of their glasses to review, of course I jumped at the chance. I love having different pairs of glasses but as I was really in need of a pair of sunglasses for our upcoming trip to Florida I decided to go for the Scout Hero Glasses with dark UV protective tints.
I have been missing beauty boxes recently, I love getting treats through my door just for me each month and I was just trying to decide which to sign up to when I got an discount code from The Libbie Club drop into my inbox. So it didn’t take much twisting of my arm I instantly headed over and signed up! Read more
A couple of months ago I was introduced to Wolkyshop as they were just about to launch in the UK. Their first UK store opened it’s doors in Brighton in April this year and after wearing a pair of their gorgeous shoes for the last two weeks I just know it is going to be massively successful! Since Christmas I have lost two stone, I still have some more to go but I am feeling really good about myself, no longer wanting to hide myself away in jeans and hoodies I’ve been having a look round Lyst to find some gorgeous dresses to suit my apple shape. As I have got older I have learned what dresses suit me and what dresses really don’t, I have always been rather self conscious of my tummy so the dresses that I buy must take the focus away from that area and show off my best parts like my legs and cleavage 🙂 Read more

I have another lovely subscription box to introduce you to today… Serene Surprises. I only heard about this one just before Christmas and I was very excited when I was sent one to try. It’s no secret that I love subscription boxes, I have subscribed to several ‘beauty’ boxes myself and have even subscribed to one for my pet rabbit. I do love the beauty boxes but there is just something a bit more special about receiving a mixture of treats like there are inside this one… Read more
Subscription boxes are becoming more and more popular; it is such a lovely way to treat yourself to a few goodies each month. Mum’s do often over look themselves so it’s really a lovely idea to have created a subscription box just for Mum…

A few weeks ago I was supposed to go to a Hotter Shoes party in Nottingham with some other lovely bloggers, unfortunately to my utter horror at the last minute I had to cancel. The wonderful people at Hotter didn’t want me to miss out on the Hotter experience so they invited me to visit one of their stores and choose a pair of Hotter shoes for myself.
I chose to visit the store at the intu shopping centre in Derby. Walking into the store I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxed and friendly the store is. Everything is displayed in such a lovely way and it is not cluttered at all like some shoe shops. They have lovely seating and it is basically like trying on shoes in your own living room.
In the back of my mind I was thinking ‘there is never going to be a pair of shoes in here for me, my mother wears these!’ and boy oh boy was I surprised! In fact I could have walked away with 3 or 4 pairs that day and still go back for more!!
So Hotter Shoes are no longer for OAP’s; see for yourself…

Shawbury Boots £85.00
These Shawbury boots are bang on trend! Every woman should have a pair of flat ankle boots this season!

Sadie Boots – £89.00
I totally fell in love with these Sadie Boots!! They didn’t have them in my size or I would have bought these… and may have just ordered them online 😉

Hampshire Boots – £129.00
The Hampshire boots are what I went for! They are absolutely gorgeous and fit like a glove! I am totally over the moon with them! They have needed no ‘wearing in’ whatsoever, I have walked for miles in them already and they are just so comfortable! I am a massive Hotter fan now and I am eagerly awaiting delivery of my Sadie boots which I will sure to post piccies of when I get them!
The Hampshire boots come in black, brown or taupe and cost £129.00 which isn’t too bad for a fantastic pair of boots. They are made from lovely soft leather which is a pleasure to wear. They zip up the inside and have elasticated bits in for a comfortable fit, I have quite chunky calves and they fit me perfectly.
What about you, do you have any experience of Hotter shoes? I now know what my Mum has been ranting on about all these years when she has said that they are the best shoes ever 🙂
* I received a pair of Hampshire boots in exchange for visiting the store and writing this post. All thoughts are my own and 100% honest.
