playologist/ Review/ Toy Review

For the past few years we have been lucky enough to call ourselves Playmobil Playologists, which means we get lots of fab Playmobil to play with. We were very excited earlier this year when Super 4 came to our screens, the kids have always got Netflix on watching it. If you’ve never heard of it; Super 4 is a fab new animated CITV series, inspired by PLAYMOBIL and now Playmobil have launched a range of Super 4 toys and we are going to show you a couple of them today.

Playmobil Playologist Toy Reviews

playologist/ Review/ Toy Review

We were recently sent the Playmobil SWAT Command Vehicle and the Take Along Princess Birthday as part of the Playmobil Playologist programme that we have belonged to for a few years now. The kids LOVE their Playmobil so were very excited when this delivery came 🙂

SWAT Command Vehicle - £34.99

SWAT Command Vehicle – £34.99

The SWAT Command Vehicle is an awful lot of fun, Bugs has played for hours with it! I would like to see it come with another figure maybe but Bugs hasn’t minded using his other figures… he’s even had Santa driving at one point 😉 Bugs obviously loves the sirens and loves racing around the room at high speeds with it creating his own little emergencies! Such a fab toy! This does need 1 AAA battery for the lights and sirens to work. See our Video about it here…

Next up is the Playmobil Princess Take Along Princess Birthday, I really LOVE the idea of this, being able to take it with you wherever you go. Both my kids love to take toys with them when they go to friends for sleepovers so this is the perfect type of toy for that!

Take Along Princess Birthday - £49.99

Take Along Princess Birthday – £49.99

We passed this one along to my sister Dawnie to review as her little girl Z is at the perfect age for this now where as my Boo is a little bit too grown up for it. You can see what they thought of it in her video below…

We’ve loved playing with the Playmobil Take Along Princess Birthday set. The set is really convenient for taking with us on our holidays or camping as it all packs away into it’s own carry case. MissB loves all the various accessories, there are so many little details such as the queen’s fan and her jewellery. There is even water to go in the glasses, a baby swan to sit on it’s mother’s back and a ball of wool for the kitten to play with. The attention to detail is fantastic. MissB loves imaginative play and Thankfully with so many figures and items to play with in the set, it means MissB and MasterB can happily play along together.

So as you can see we love both items and are super excited for our next delivery. Make sure you check out the Playmobil website for lots more. Also sign up to the kids birthday club as my kids love getting their Playmobil birthday cards every year 😉

Playmobil Playologists

playologist/ Review/ Toy Review

For the last year we have been lucky enough to be Playmobil Playologists, we have just been sent another fab parcel of goodies and the kids have been having so much fun with them for the last few weeks!

Bugs was sent the Road Roller with Asphalt  (£11.25) and this Large Front Loader (£29.99). He absolutely loves them, Boo (age 7) managed to put them together easily for him so my help was not needed at all! They really loved doing that together and have spent hours playing with them! We love Playmobil and would happily recommend both of these sets!

The front loader comes with one construction worker wearing a hard hat and you can move the bucket up and down to shovel dirt/stones etc! Bugs loves this feature and goes round scooping up everything he can find! The road roller comes with two construction workers, a section of road, some signs and traffic cones.

Boo was sent the amazing Fairy Island with Jewel Fountain (£29.99) and Unicorn Carriage with Butterfly Fairy (£12.99), she is crazy about fairies so these are perfect for her! Both of these sets work perfectly together and she has spent hours in her own little fairy world! I love how Playmobil does that to my kids, it really makes them play, create and imagine! Boo really loves the fairy island especially the colour changing jewel fountain (needs 3 AAA batteries – not included) it really is magical and I will often find it still on when I go and check on her before I go to bed at night. She also loves that it comes with a jewel pendant, which has a special hanging place on the tree but she wears it more often than not! The set also comes with a swan family, a baby unicorn and two fairies with the addition of the unicorn carriage and butterfly fairy it really makes a fantastic play set.

We are so pleased with the sets we have been sent this year! Boo & Bugs have already spent hours playing with them and I have a few more sets wrapped up for Bugs’ 4th birthday which is in two weeks 🙂

The hotel we were sent last year still gets played with almost every single day and still looks as good as it did (apart from a bit of dust) back then! We know and love Playmobil toys and can happily recommend them to you 🙂

We’re Playmobil Playologists!

playologist/ Review/ Toy Review

A while ago we were lucky enough to be chosen as Playmobil Playologists and a few weeks ago we had our first delivery! To be totally honest I hadn’t bought any Playmobil toys before so wasn’t sure what to expect. I mentioned Playmobil to my other half and got lots of stories of his younger days with forts, horses and soliders so it could just have been me who missed out on it when I was growing up!

We were sent two products in this delivery, Bugs got an adorable 1.2.3. Wading Pool and Boo was sent the amazing Summer Fun Hotel. I have to say since receiving both products I have been very impressed and am already adding to our collection with more pieces from the 1.2.3 range for Bugs! It’s his third birthday in two weeks so the Knight’s Castle and the Noah’s Ark may have been wrapped up for him 😉

The Wading Pool set is just gorgeous, it’s chunky and perfect for Bugs’s little fingers – and he just loves that he can fill up the pool and let his little people and his dog splash about in it, even the flower get’s a splash about too! 😉 The Wading Pool set is priced at just £7.99 which I think is an absolute bargain! It makes a perfect little pool for outside Boo’s hotel – the kids happily play together and the two items compliment each other perfectly!

Boo was overjoyed when she received the hotel, literally blown away! She was very eager to start playing with it and was a little sad when we opened the box to find it in hundreds of little pieces, she soon got over that when we started to build it.

Working on the ground floor

I personally really enjoyed putting it all together, it was so nice to sit and actually do something together like this. It probably took us 2-3 hours it all, we did it over a few days and we were really careful to make sure we got it exactly right!

First floor is complete

Boo would have liked to have done more but she found it quite difficult to press the studs in and it would have taken us weeks if I let her do them all, you are supplied with one little yellow tool for putting the studs in – I would have liked there to be at least two in so that I could have let Boo be working on some pieces while I was getting on with others, as it were I had to wait around for Boo or vice versa. I am sure those of you that have bought Playmobil before will have saved the little tools for future purchases. *slaps my own wrist for not discovering Playmobil before*

On with the roof and we’re done… Well not quite 😉

So once we had built the hotel we had to put all the furniture together, put stickers on items and just generally get our hotel ready to open 😉 There are lots of little fiddly bits and pieces, which are a bit too fiddly for my chunky hands but seem perfect for Boo. I’m sure some things will get lost if it’s not looked after properly though… I have given her a little tub to keep things in, so fingers crossed!

Open for business

Here’s a little video by Boo giving you a tour of her hotel…

As I have already said, I am really impressed with both products that Playmobil have sent us to review and I would happily (and have) buy more!

Huge thanks to Playmobil for choosing us to be Playologists and sending us both of these toys free of charge to review.
