Looking Back on 2019

personal/ Year In Review

Wow! It’s been a while since I actually sat and wrote a blog post, I have been putting it off for so long – I just don’t seem to have the time anymore. Life is so busy but we are all really well and happy. I’m going to try and get better and actually update much more often than I have done recently.

This is my first post of the year so it’s only right that I spend it looking back at what we got up to in 2019. 2019 was a great year for us, we had lots of adventures and spent lots of time together. We all started new things which have enriched our lives… I can only hope that 2020 has more of the same in store for us ๐Ÿ™‚

My Happy Days [17th Aug-6th Sept 2019]

My Happy Days/ personal

Finally I am getting chance to sit down and update you all. It’s been three weeks since I last posted my happy days project, two of those we spent in Cornwall and then the last week has just been busy getting the kids ready to go back to school. We had a wonderful end to the summer holidays in Cornwall. A week spent in Falmouth and a week in Bude, we were so lucky with the weather which meant we were able to spend a large part of our holiday on the beach. Absolute bliss! Liam spent a week with us too which was wonderful to have all my three children on holiday together, for the first time in EIGHT years! Anyway I’ve got loads to share so I’ll get on with it…

My Happy Days [5th-19th July 2019]

My Happy Days/ personal

Woohoo! That’s it! School is out for summer! How exciting is that! Six weeks of fun to be had! We haven’t got a massive amount of stuff planned for the holidays but we do go on holiday for two weeks so we are all really looking forward to that especially as Liam (my eldest) will be joining us for one week. He’s not been on holiday with us for a long time so the kids are really excited about that. Anyway I’ll be telling you all about that soon but for now this is what has been making me happy over the last couple of weeks…

My Happy Days [22nd June-5th July 2019]

My Happy Days/ personal

Wow how fast has this year gone so far!! I can’t believe July is here already and the kids only have two weeks left before they break up for summer now! July is always busy with lots of end of term events but this year with Boo at Secondary school I don’t seem to have quite as many things to go to. I’m really looking forward to them breaking up and having a few lazy days ๐Ÿ™‚

My Happy Days โ€“ 8th-21st June 2019

My Happy Days/ personal

These last two weeks have been crazy busy and I have barely taken any photos for my happy days project. We are trying to get our house ready to put on the market so it has been clean, clean clean! We have had it valued now we just need to make the call to say yes we do want to put it on the market! Decisions Decisions! I’ve enjoyed lunch with my youngest at school on Thursday… pudding was syrup sponge and custard – so delicious!

My Happy Days – 25th May-7th June 2019

My Happy Days/ personal

My happy days feature seems to have gone from a weekly post to fortnightly and I’ve not been great at taking photos everyday either but I’m still loving doing it, some days I just really don’t have anything to take photos of. The kids really don’t want to have their photos taken anymore it was so easy when they were little… they really didn’t have a choice ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway this is what has been making me happy over the past couple of weeks ๐Ÿ™‚

My Happy Days โ€“ 11th-24th May 2019

My Happy Days/ personal

I’ve been a bit useless at taking photos over the last couple of week so I’ve merged my last two weeks into one post. Life has been really hectic and I haven’t really had a great deal to share. I enjoyed a day in the Yorkshire Dales on my own last week. I had breakfast and lunch out and spent the day walking and exploring and it felt amazing. I really need to do that for myself more often. I don’t think I have ever taken the day to do just whatever I want before but I really need to do it more often, it felt like my own little retreat and I felt free and wonderful.
