Personalised Christmas Sacks

Christmas/ Christmas Gift Guide/ Review

I’d been looking for the perfect personalised Christmas sacks for the kids for a while so was overjoyed when Izabela Peters got in touch a few weeks ago to see if we would like to review theirs. The hardest part for me was choosing the designs as they have so many different options but I finally decided upon the vintage white deer on red for Bugs and the vintage white deer on blue for Boo.

Christmas Gifts from The Handpicked Collection

Christmas/ Christmas Gift Guide/ Review

I was so excited to get to choose something from the Christmas gifts range over at The Handpicked Collection. Their website is FULL of absolutely gorgeous things and it was so hard to decide but eventually I decided on this amazing Children’s Art File & Frame! If you know me then you will know I have a daughter who LOVES to draw and I am always struggling to find places to keep/display her work. This art frame is amazing…

The frames displays three A4 pieces of art and you can also store lots of others behind. I would highly recommend this frame to anyone with kids, it’s a brilliant way to display their art! Boo is so proud to see her work framed and on the wall and being able to change them round really easily is a bonus!

Wonderous Ink Books Review

Christmas/ Christmas Gift Guide/ Review

The lovely people behind Wonderous Ink sent Boo & Bugs one of their beautiful personalised books each a couple of weeks a go.

Every book is hand-crafted to be unique to each child. Every letter of the child’s name makes up a part of their story.

They’ll be amazed as they enter their very own Wonderous World and discover what makes them so special.

WonderousInkBooks

We are absolutely over the moon with these books, they follow a wonderful story based on your child’s name, the letters of their name determine the story and at the end of the book if they haven’t realised this throughout the story they will do so at the end.

wonderousink

I love anything that builds my children up and makes them feel wonderful. So these books get a massive thumbs up from us!

The illustrations are beautiful and they are printed on lovely thick paper giving them a very high quality feel.

I was approached recently to see if I would like to review a gift from Personalised Bottles and with Lero’s 18th birthday last week it couldn’t have been a more perfect time!

All you need to do is choose your gift, you can then choose your label and message. It was delivered to me the next day in a gift box with free Lindt chocolates! This gift would cost from £31.00 (delivered) depending on what label you choose.

Christmas Gift Guide – The Polar Express

Christmas/ Christmas Gift Guide/ gifts/ Review
My favourite part of Christmas is the afternoon of Christmas Eve when our family shut out the world and snuggle up on the sofa with a box of Christmas chocs and some mugs of hot chocolate and watch a Christmas movie! We do it every year; last year it was Elf this year it will be The Polar Express! I have watched this movie before 3-4 years ago and I loved it! I have hidden this copy away from the kids for our Christmas Eve treat though – I sat and watched it on my own whilst Boo was at school yesterday morning so I could do my review and I really cannot wait to sit down with the whole family and watch it again!
I have to say that the animation is incredible and the characters are scarily life like! It really is a beautiful Christmas movie that I will watch over and over again and I just know that the kids will LOVE it! The Polar Express has recently been re-mastered in 3D and  unfortunately we don’t have a way to watch that version so we got the normal version to enjoy instead! I would absolutely love to watch this film in 3D – I am sure it will be amazing!!
The story follows a young boy who is in bed awake waiting for the sound of sleigh bells ringing from Santa’s sleigh. At five minutes to midnight his room begins to shake, and he hears a sound outside his window. He jumps from his bed and sees a train in the middle of his street. He grabs his robe and rushes out the front door to look at the train. The trains conductor asks the boy if he is getting aboard. He asks, “Where are you going?’ ‘To the North Pole, of course, this is the Polar Express!’ At the last minute, The boy jumps on the train and finds other young boys and girls going to the North Pole.
I really don’t want to tell you what happens along the way but there are several complications that need to be overcome before the children finally get to the North Pole to meet Santa! This is a wonderful story; one which you and your children will love! Make sure you believe this Christmas – I do ;O)

“At one time, most of my friends could hear the bell, but as years passed, it fell silent for all of them. Even Sarah found one Christmas that she could no longer hear its sweet sound. Though I’ve grown old, the bell still rings for me, as it does for all who truly believe.”

The Polar Express Blu-Ray Disc is available to buy on Amazon for just £8.99, The Polar Express 3D version is just £14.99 and the DVD is £9.47 – A really great film that every family should have in their collection :O)

* Warner Bros. sent us The Polar Express on Blu-Ray for the purpose of this review.

What We Think –
The ABBA You Can Dance Wii game is going to be a HUGE hit with ABBA fans this Christmas! Not only can you dance along to your favourite track’s but you can sing along with them too! We are lucky enough to already have a microphone (there would have been some disappointment if we hadn’t) You don’t need a microphone for the whole game just for the sing along part! There is lots of fun to be had with the dancing and the lyrics appear along the bottom of the screen so you can sing a long to those but it is great to be able to get the microphone out and sing badly along ;O) Everyone knows the ABBA songs so this is going to be great over Christmas when friends come round for a few drinks!

The moves are easy to follow (well there are a few tricky ones but that’s the fun of it) and the menu’s are easy to follow! Not sure this is one for the kids really but more for us crazy grown ups who are dying to go back to our teens again! Lero my 15 yr old absolutely LOVES it! He’s very into singing and dancing and LOVES ABBA so it is great for him; but Boo my 5 yr old hasn’t got a clue who ABBA are and has never heard the songs before! But I think ABBA are timeless and she’ll pick them up in no time! She doesn’t care anyway she just loves to dance along!! Really great game!! LOVE it :O)

You can pick a copy of ABBA You Can Dance up at Amazon for the bargain price of £17.99! Put it in someones stocking this year and have a ball ;O)
