I just LOVE Yankee Candle so I was over the moon to receive this brand new, one of three UK exclusives ‘Early Sunrise‘ – the other two are  Napa Valley Sun & Tahitian Tiaré Flower.  Early Sunrise smells absolutely gorgeous and is described as ‘A new day dawns crisp and fresh in this clean lemony citrus scent with hints of ginger and tea.’  It has to be one of my favourites now, I really don’t like overpowering scents, this is so subtle and I just love it! This is a large jar candle priced at £19.99. The candle provides 110 to 150 hours of true fragrance enjoyment.

The lovely people at Big Green Smile sent us these products to try out. From make-up and beauty products to natural cleaners and baby food, Big Green Smile are one of the biggest online retailers of natural and organic products in the UK. We have to be very careful what products we use on our skin as we all have very sensitive skin and also little Bugs has bad eczema so it’s great to get to try out new products. I have heard great things about Jason products so was very pleased to get to use the sun cream. It is a lovely consistency and absorbs into the skin easily, it hasn’t caused any problems with our skin in fact it is just so lovely and makes skin soft – I will always use this suncream now!

The Attitude 3 in 1 is very lightly scented with pomegranate, it pumps as a foam and lathers up really well, I was tempted to use more than I needed at first but you really don’t need to use much at all. This is another hit and is the new bath time favourite! We love products that we can use for everything! This is perfect for chucking in the swimming bag, why take three bottles when you can take just one?!

As lucky Playmobil Playologists we were sent the brand new Playmobil Annual to have a look at! It’s full of fun pages, stories, puzzles and colouring in! Bugs loves this book because it is full of Castles, dragons and knights but the puzzles are a bit too much for him so Boo likes to go though and do all those! If you have a Playmobil fan  who loves Castles, Knights and Dragons and is aged 5+ then this will make a brilliant Christmas gift.

Boo was lucky enough to be sent a preview of Legends of Oz, Dorothy’s return to watch and she absolutely loved it! It will be out on Blu-ray, DVD and on demand from 22nd September this year. Dorthy returns to Oz to save her old friends the Scarecrow,  the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Glinda the Good Witch and the entire Land of Oz from the devious brother of the Wicked Witch of the West – The Jester.

With Dorothy as their only hope to restore happiness to the Emerald City, she embarks on another journey along the yellow brick road, meeting a host of new friends including Wiser the Owl, Marshal Mallow and Tugg the Treeboat along the way.

The lovely people at Sainsbury’s sent Bugs this awesome lunchbox to take on his first day at school! We love that it has a separate bottle compartment and Bugs absolutely loves the pirate design! These are just £7.00 in Sainsbury’s which we think is an absolute bargain! I had seen these in Sainsbury’s a couple of weeks ago and almost bought one, there is also a girlie tea party design which I almost bought for Boo too but I thought I’d wait and I’m pleased I did now as we were sent this one 🙂

Well that’s it for this month, don’t forget to contact me soon if you have a product that you would like to see in September’s edition 🙂

Smash and Nude Food Movers are available in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Wilko’s, ASDA, John Lewis, Lakeland and other good retailers.

I just had a quick look around online to see how much these products sell for as I had no idea and I would expect them to be quite pricey as they are obviously high quality. I was actually pleasantly surprised; the triple snack tower sell for just £3.00 in Ocado and the lunch boxes vary starting around £2.50. I’ve not been able to find the exact same lunch bags online but Smash lunch bags sell from around £7 upwards which is pretty decent when you get a bottle as well!

I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more of these products and I cannot wait to start using them properly 🙂

*We were sent these products free of charge and we absolutely love them 🙂

Back to School with Clarks Shoes

Back to School/ Review

Last Thursday I went on the Clarks Shoes website and made an appointment to have the kids feet measured in store the very next day. I was rather pleased by this as one of my hates is having to go and sit and wait to be seen with two impatient kids.  I have been a Clarks customers for many many years now especially for school shoes. In my experience they are always fitted well and incredibly well made and long lasting. Photo 15-08-2014 12 34 32 We got to our local  store at our appointment time and were seen straight away. The kids had their feet measured using the new iPad measuring system! The kids did like having that little bit of interaction with the iPad by entering their age and the symbol for boys/girls depending on their sex. I love how Clarks are moving with the times and are using iPads to measure kids feet now. Photo 15-08-2014 12 35 08 Bugs needed school shoes first as he starts school in September so that was our first priority. He chose these shoes which are incredibly sturdy and I just can see how hard wearing they are going to be, very much needed as Bugs likes to drag a foot along the floor whilst scooting! He was also given this Ladybird memory book which I though was a really lovely touch. It’s such a well thought out book with spaces for lots of school memories. Photo 15-08-2014 12 54 11 Next we had to choose a pair of super cool trainers for everyday wear, Bugs chose these because they made him run really really fast when he tried them on  *Apologies to all the little old ladies he almost knocked over whilst trying them out* Seriously sometimes I just wish the floor would swallow me up! Why do they feel the need to embarrass us so often 😉 Having bought a full price pair of shoes meant that we would receive £5 off  sports shoes so these were a bargain! You can also get that offer online if you enter BSPORT4 at the checkout. Photo 18-08-2014 10 55 02 The last thing Bugs needed for his first day at school was some plimsolls and of course  Clarks didn’t fail us there! Hurrah! All sorted in one trip! I can’t believe we got so lucky and everything was in stock for the sizes we needed! Photo 15-08-2014 12 57 59 Boo also needed a pair of trainers for PE so she chose these. She’s having to learn to tie her laces now too. I don’t think she has ever had a pair of shoes with laces in!! How bad is that?! Everything is buckles and velcro these days. I thought she would be put off by this but no she took on the challenge and has been practising tying them for the last few days. She is almost there 😉 So that was our trip to Clarks last Friday. Half an hour, four pairs of shoes, £93.50 in total. Phew it’s done and we are almost all ready to go back to school now! But first we have a weeks holiday to go on and we can’t wait 🙂 Check out the Clarks website and enter to win the best school trip ever!!! * I received vouchers to cover the cost of our shoes but my thoughts are honest.
