Boo is often drawing us all lovely pictures and I have now started scanning them and saving them as it is just such a shame to see them get lost or ‘accidentally’ thrown away… there’s only so many pictures you can keep!
She drew this one for us this weekend and it actually brought a tear to my eyes when I saw it…
I love it so much; I think it’s a really great likeness of us all, Mummy and Daddy are looking nice and trim and not bulging out of our clothes like we are in real life and Daddy has much more hair in the drawing so we are both REALLY pleased with how she ‘sees’ us 😉
Here’s what was written on the back…
This is to my wonderful family. I really love you and I did this picture as neatly as I could. Love from Boo xxx
PS. not when you are very mean (I’m not sure who she’s referring to here… if cannot be me obviously!)
I’m going to pop to Ikea and get a frame for this one as I love it so much. I think I actually might start a gallery in my office with framed drawings that the kids have done, it’s nice to show off their work and make them proud of themselves isn’t it and no art is as good as that of your children! It’s just priceless!
How do you display/save your children’s artwork?

You have pricked my conscience with this one – we stick some up as they come in and the rest I keep in a huge stack because I can’t bear to bin them, the idea is that one of these days I will sort them out into the ones we want to keep and put them into memory boxes…One day!!! #blogclub
Ahhh – that’s lovely. It’s so hard isn’t it as you just can’t keep it all – I’d drown in paper if I did. I put some on the wall in one of those plastic pocket things but I’d love to find a neater way to display it. I have scanned some too and I have a lot lying around in various bags/boxes and files! #blogclub
what a fab picture and such special words – even the ‘mean’ words are so cute! x
This is something to keep forever! I really need to start framing my own children’s masterpieces. I do keep them, but it’s usually in a box in a cupboard. They’re no good to anyone hidden away in there!
Arrr that is a picture to treasure! I have got all of Joseph’s school work in boxes but I really do need to start letting go, he’s now 9 thats a lot of work! I’m thinking of taking photos of the more memorable pieces and only keeping the special ones and getting rid of the rest as heartbreaking as it is. But I’ll have to do it when he’s at school he’ll be really upset if he knew! #blogclub x
She has great drawing skills, I love this picture so lovely, kids see the real us xx
Aww, that’s a really good picture of you all 🙂
