During October I am taking part in #Blogtober18, where I write a blog post everyday for the whole month. Mandi over at Big Family Organised Chaos is hosting a linky each day where she also gives a prompt for us to write about. The prompt for today is ‘Did you survive the October half term?’ but my kids only broke up for half term yesterday so we have only just started it.
Today is my oldest son Liam’s 22nd birthday! I can’t believe that he is 22 and I have been a mum for 22 years! It really is bonkers, I often still feel like I have only just left school. It’s crazy how fast the time has gone.
He is basically a grown man now and I am just so proud of him, he is such a wonderful person and I love spending time with him. He is in his third year at university studying sociology at the moment and we try to meet up for lunch every few weeks and have such a great time when we do get together. He doesn’t have it easy but he is the best son and big brother to the little two that I could wish for.
Here are a few photos that I found out this morning 🙂
This was taken on the day we came home from hospital, he was 12 days old and I was just 19. I had been really poorly with infections after an emergency c section so was kept in. I was so relieved to be at home.
Awww fast asleep in his car seat.
He was such an adorable, happy little thing!
A collection of photos over the years.
This is the most recent photo I have of him taken last week when we all went out for lunch. See what I mean about being a fully grown man… he’s even got a beard!!!
Happy Birthday Liam! We love and miss you loads xxx
