10 Delicious Curry Recipes

Blogtober18/ Food & Drink/ Recipe

During October I am taking part in #Blogtober18, where I write a blog post everyday for the whole month. Mandi over at Big Family Organised Chaos is hosting a linky each day where she also gives a prompt for us to write about. Today’s prompt is ‘Vindaloo or Korma?’ and I will have to say definitely Korma… although I’d never go for a Vindaloo or Korma if I was eating at an Indian restaurant, my choice would always be Chicken Tikka. In fact I took James out for a curry for his birthday a few weeks ago and we had the best curry of our lives at MemSaab in Nottingham. It was amazing! It’s making me drool just thinking about it and I cannot wait to go back.

Anyway today I am going to share 10 delicious curry recipes that I have found especially for #NationalCurryWeek which starts today (22nd-28th October) 🙂

This Chicken Tikka Masala looks like perfection to me.

How good does this Lamb Madras with Bombay Potatoes look?

Are you feeling hungry yet? I am!  😉 I love the look of this Thai Red Curry Chicken and Vegetables.

If you are Vegan then this Mushroom Curry with Spinach & Chickpeas looks an absolute treat!

This Creamy Coconut Vegetarian Korma looks amazing and can quite easily be made Vegan too!

Delicious Indian Chicken Korma… Just add rice and a Naan.

I love the idea of using chicken thighs in this Creamy Coconut Chicken Curry. This sounds like one my kids would just devour.

If Vindaloo is your kind of curry then this Chicken Vindaloo Recipe looks so good!

I’ve made this Chicken Jalfrezi from the Hairy Bikers a few times now and it is always a winner!

This Gosht Durbari (Lamb Curry slow cooked with Yoghurt, Fried Onions and Spices) is now on the menu  for our Saturday night dinner because wow just how good does it look?

And because a good curry is never complete with a good Naan I thought I’d share this Fail Proof Naan Recipe too 🙂

What about you, what is your favourite curry?

I love the look of the mushroom, spinach and chickpea curry, but I’m the only one in our house who would eat it I think. We usually make chicken korma, as it’s mild enough for the kids to enjoy.

Hi Sonia, thank you so much for including my Mushroom Curry in this very tasty roundup! I love a good curry, from korma to balti to jalfrezi I love it all but I just can’t stretch to a vindaloo 😉

I’m feeling very hungry after reading this post. I don’t really go for a korma but a vindaloo is too hot for me, however as I’m approaching due date soon maybe it will come in handy to get baby moving!

I love a vegetable korma – the creaminess and non-spicy aspects are all winners with me 🙂

I too am more a chicken tikka girl but between those two, vindaloo wins in my book lol. Love your roundup of this delicious recipes

I love spicey food but a vindaloo is a little too strong for me. Whilst Korma is definitely still yummy, if I was choosing I’d go for something more in the middle (vegetarian based though!)

I didn’t realise it was national curry week – definitely need to plan some curries this week. Thank you for the lovely suggestions – I’ve cooked a slightly different recipe for mushroom and chickpea curry too – it’s a lovely combination.
    love Bec 🙂
