Can you believe there are just under two weeks left until the kids go back to school? We are definitely getting ready now, after a couple of weeks we start getting a bit bored but thankfully we still have a weeks holiday before we go back. I’m kind of glad we saved our holiday until the end of the summer as at least we still have something to look forward to 😉 This year Boo is starting secondary school so we’ve had to buy lots of new uniform, bags, sports clothes etc so it has been quite pricey. We have also had quite a lot of goodies sent us so we are sharing some of those with you today 🙂
First thing’s first if you need a new backpack for going back to school then you must check out the range at Spiral. They have so many amazing designs to choose from and they are absolutely fantastic quality! We featured one in our back to school guide three years ago and it is still used daily and is still in fantastic condition. The backpacks have a large inside space which has a divider creating two separate pockets, they also have a zipped inside pocket, penholders and net pockets for things like bus passes, dinner cards etc and then a good size zipped front pocket, not forgetting the all important headphones slot. Boo chose this burgundy one because she is obsessed with Harry Potter and obviously it is Gryffindor colours but Spiral really does have a bag for absolutely everyone! This one would set you back £19.99 which I think is a bargain!
Bugs absolutely loves his new Personalised Big Heads Beano Pencil Case (£17.60) which came with 12 coloured pencils not 20 like it states on the website. The pencil case is a really lovely size and comes in different colour and character combinations. We chose Dennis just so no one would forget what a menace Bugs is 😉
Make sure they never lose their pencils again with this set of personalised green glitter pencils (£11.99) from GiftPup. The set contains 12 personalised pencils that come in a lovely box with their name embossed in silver lettering.
I’ve been a big fan of STABILO products for such a long time now. Their EASYstart product range is just brilliant for little ones that are just starting to write so make sure you check them out if you have a little one. Personally I am in love with their new mini pastel highlighters… I feel I may be keeping those ones to myself 😉
Products shown are STABILO EASYoriginal Rollerball Pens (£6.70), STABILO pointMax pens (£1.00 per individual pen), STABILO beYou! Fountain Pen (£6.99), STABILO SENSOR fineliner with cushioned tip (£8.06) and STABILO BOSS Mini Pastellove Highlighter (Pack of three £4.39).
Ryman have everything you might need to send your little or big ones back to school.
Products shown above are Ryman A4 Sketch Pad (£1.99), Helix Complete Maths Set (£3.99), Tipp-Ex Mini Pocket Mouse (£2.89), Pritt Stick Value Pack (£5.99), Ryman 10 Coloured Ball Pens (£1.99) and Wham Triton Clip Lid Bottle (£3.99).
Maped Helix has a fantastic range of back to school products including these Oxford Colours Maths Sets (£6.99) which are available in blue, pink, green or purple and a range of Pepsi stationary which includes a Pepsi Max Eraser (£2.99) and a Pepsi Sharpner (£1.99).
Boo is loving these Scent Stiks (£4.95) from Scent Republik, they are perfect for popping in her pencil case and they smell absolutely gorgeous! Perfect for doodling a lovely scent all over your BFF 🙂 There are six different scents available and they are currently on 3 for 2 offer over on the website 🙂
First day nerves? Chewing a RESCUE® Pastille (£5.15) is a delicious way to keep stress at bay. Soothing, calming and relaxing, each Pastille contains one dose of RESCUE REMEDY®, the famous five flower remedy formula developed by Dr. Edward Bach more than 80 years ago to help you stress less and stay in control.
These gorgeous lunch boxes (Prices vary) are available in-store at ASDA from 10th July 2018, but only while stocks last! So if you see one you think your child will love for the new school year make sure you get to ASDA as soon as possible.
I bought Boo these black patent shoes from Start-Rite last year and I have just ordered her another pair for this year too as she loved them. They lasted so well and basically looked like new for the whole term so I would definitely recommend them. At £57.99 they aren’t the cheapest school shoes but I’m a big believer in ‘you get what you pay for!’
To keep everyone organised I need to get myself one of these weekly wall calendars (£28.99) – I have so many different list, diaries and calendars I am sure I would be much more organised if it was all right there on the wall in front of me 😉
That’s it for now, I am sure we will be back with more recommendations before the summer is over. What products do you always buy to send your kids back to school in September?
