Laura Ashley recently set myself and 14 other bloggers the challenge of coming up with a different idea each for one of their gorgeous throws; they will then write up about it on the Laura Ashley blog :O)
Made from pure cotton with a stripe design, this versatile throw can prove invaluable for the living room, bedroom and beach hut too.
We were sent the Shaldon Stripe Throw which is absolutely gorgeous! I will probably use it mainly as a throw to cover my tatty sofa but for this challenge I left it to little Bugs 😉
I had started to think of things that I could do with it and wanted to include the kids, as this blog is mainly for them I thought it would be fun to do something with them! However I left the throw over the back of the sofa for a few days whilst I was thinking and each day Bugs would come home from nursery and make himself and bunny a little bed on the floor where he would snuggle, play on the iPad and just generally relax after nursery!
I love that he did this and he just looked so adorable and proud of himself that this is what I wanted to share as our use for this throw… Bugs’s snuggle blanket 🙂
My other ideas for using the blanket for kiddie fun were…
- A indoor teddy bear picnic blanket
- The cover for a den
- Daddy suggested a flying carpet (obviously a pretend flying carpet; I’m not that clever)
- A movie blanket
So that’s what we have come up with so far… What would you do with yours?

[…] A few weeks a go you might remember we took part in a blogger challenge for Laura Ashley, you can see my post here… A throw of many uses! […]
Definitely would be used as a fort by Buba, a morning throw accompanied by my cup of coffee, and hubby’s movie blanket as he likes to lay on the floor instead of the couch. Lovely colors in it too. Lucky you for getting this one. Maxwell looks like he has officially claimed it. Too cute.
That throw does look gorgeous! Great ideas for it, too 🙂 Ours would always be used for a den within about 10 seconds of Boo getting hold of it!
