35 and don’t know how to dress myself!

Fashion

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to be interested in dressing myself, I have never had a clue what to wear, what to look for or what suits me! I can’t believe I have never CARED!!

Last night I sat at my pc and decided to do some research into this! Firstly someone on twitter told me that Evans will let you type in your measurements and tell you what shape you are!! I’m an APPLE shape people!!! This helped me so much when I went to google and typed in ‘How to dress for an apple shaped figure’ everything just fell right into place! The clothes I were seeing were all made for ME!!! You have no idea how good it felt for me to me listening to people on YouTube talk about me and my shape and tell me what looks good and what doesn’t! I have even started my own Pinterest board especially for Apple shapes! Granted it doesn’t have that much on it right now but it will!

Rules for Apple Body Shape by pinkrubbersoul
I am so excited to start shopping because I now know what is going to look great! This leads me to where the hell do I start?  I’m a size 16/18 currently and I basically need a whole new wardrobe! Where would you start shopping? Online, High Street? Please leave your suggestions for me if you have any. thank you xxx

This is fantastic Sonia! I think I must be an apple too as I would choose every single piece of clothing on your board too. They are all gorgeous and I love the colours. I often get bits on Ebay, I know which brands I like, and that fit me and I’ll search them out on ebay. It’s a bit hit and miss but better value when you need to add a lot to your wardbrobe. Do come and link up your Moodboard to my Moodboard Monday feature, would love to have you there!

Hey, great article! All women are different shapes and sizes, and thus, what may suit one body shape, may not look so good on another, and thus, it’s great to find out the latest trends that are specifically designed for your body shape, as they’ll make you look great, and feel great too! 🙂 What are your favorite rules/tips for your body shape, and what are those rules/tips that you do not feel comfortable with?

Ah I haven’t figured out all the rules etc yet but I’m working on it – I hate anything that draws attention to my belly and always have to have my upper arms covered!

That’s great! You should post or upload a picture once you’ve followed all the rules! Were you previously wearing styles and clothing that is targeted towards women with other body shapes?

I’m 39 & still learning what suits me; I’m not adventurous so I usually go shopping with my best friend as she is very honest about what does & doesn’t suit me.

As you’re losing weight I’d recommend Asda or Tesco for cheap but good quality clothes that will last until you drop down to the next size 🙂

Wow I did not know you could do that on Evans site. I need to check mine. 16 is a fab size as can shop on the high street. H&M for fab items I the cheap. M&S for basic tees and vests to villa staple wardrobe as they last. I could go on and on but depends what you are looking for xxx

Love that you have sorted out what shape you are. It great that you now can take this knowledge and get shopping. I’d start on the high street. So you can refine your research x
