20 Homemade Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Activities/ Mother's Day

In case you didn’t already know this year Mother’s Day is on Sunday 31st March in the UK so I thought I’d better start getting organised. I love Mother’s Day I think it is such a wonderful idea and I always love treating my mum and getting treated a bit myself 😉

This year I have been thinking a lot about spending as little as possible and really trying to create sentimental gifts rather than go and spend money on things that will just add to someone’s clutter. I went a bit Marie Kondo on our house and now I won’t buy anything unless it really sparks joy – that has kind of transferred itself onto gift buying and giving too.

So I’ve found 20 gorgeous gifts that you and the kids can make for Mother’s Day this year… let those wonderful ladies know just how special they are.

I used to get things like this fingerprint art every year when my kids were at pre-school and I still have them in their memory boxes. They really are such a special gift to receive.

What mum doesn’t love a manicure or pedicure? These mani or pedi in a jar gifts are just perfect!

These Handprint Shrinky Dink Keychains are just so adorable!

I just adore these Thumbprint Heart Glass Magnets.

These coffee cup candles are so pretty… I’m definitely going to have a go at some of these, I have some really pretty cups that I just don’t use but they’d be perfect for this.

Why not have a go at making her very own body scrub?

These upcycled mason jars make the most beautiful flower display.

These Personalised Votive Candle Holders are really pretty and you can design them however you wish.

This keepsake flowerpot would make a lovely gift, you could put mum’s favourite plant inside 🙂

Why not make one of these handprint art jewellery dishes, so pretty and super useful for keeping all of her rings and things in one place.

I always love a gift that has been made using photos of my kids so I’d just love this photo vase.

This rose bowl is just beautiful and so easy to make too.

How pretty are these felt flowers… so bright and beautiful! These would make mum smile at anytime of the year!

I love this Handprint Flower Pot Craft. Such a beautiful reminder of how cute and chubby their hands once were.

Give her the gift of an hour in the bath and make these lovely Mother’s Day Bath Bombs for her to soak in.

These DIY Marbled Mugs would make a lovely gift, they are marbled with nail polish would you believe so every one you make will be totally unique.

These DIY superhero gifts are super cute… enough to melt anyone’s heart!

You need to make these handprint mugs at least 10 days in advance so make sure you get started soon if you are going to make one.

I love this Grandkids photo display it would make such a lovely gift for Grandma this coming Mother’s Day from all of the Grandkids.

Last but not least is something all mum’s should have… an emergency stash!

So there you have twenty fab gifts that you could easily make for someone special for Mother’s Day this year. Which would you fancy getting given as a gift?

I am not usually keen on shrinky dink craft but my child’s handprint as a keychain would be a charming idea.
