I’ve been a gin drinker for a while now, I used to think that I didn’t like it but for some reason I have really got into it and am now rather obsessed with trying out different ones and adding to my collection.
A couple of years ago I went to my first Gin Festival and that’s where my obsession really began. I’m sad to say the Gin festival is no more but I can often be found at different gin tasting nights or trying different gins at home.
I find that there is so much choice out there now when it comes to buying gin and I am always tempted by the pretty bottles so I thought I’d put together a list of ten gins that you must try. I’m not claiming to be any kind of gin expert, I’m just sharing the gins I have tried and loved.
2. Whitley Neil Blood Orange Gin
3. Chase Rhubarb & Bramley Apple Gin
4. Tarquins Rhubarb and Raspberry Gin
5. Wessex Gin
7. Boodles British Mulberry Gin
9. Bloom Gin
If I had to choose an absolute favourite from the above list it would be Whitley Neil Blood Orange Gin… It is just so delicious!
Interesting fact: Did you know that Aviation American Gin is owned by the actor Ryan Reynolds? I only found out recently after having a cocktail called Deadpool – which was gorgeous! Apparently he declared in the best-tasting gin in the world and decided to invest.
Now it’s over to you… Tell me what is your favourite gin?

I have NEVER tried gin before: what would you recommend for a complete beginner as a good introduction?
I’d definitely recommend getting to a gin tasting night or something like that where you can try different gins. That’s what I did before I actually bought any. I found a few that I really liked that way x
Oh god i do like a nice gin and tonic. I’m trying to cut down at the minute, but if i cave it will be gins fault lol
Silent Pool gin is my favourite and the distillery is quite near me! I’ve not been myself, but my parents have and so I still got to have the gin. 😉
