15 Bonfire Night Treats for Kids… or Grown Ups!

Activities/ Autumn/ Bonfire Night/ Food & Drink/ Recipe

I love Bonfire Night, there is nothing better than getting wrapped up and going out to the local bonfire & fireworks display with the kids. I have such happy memories of bonfire night when I was little, it was always such a treat and I want my children to have the same happy memories that I do. Bonfire toffee was always something mum used to make for us to take with us to the local display and I always remember there being hotdogs and delicious jacket potatoes too.

Ring RTC1000 Rapid Digital Tyre Inflator Review and Giveaway

giveaway/ Open Comp/ Review

We were recently sent the RTC1000 Rapid Digital Tyre Inflator from Ring to review and I’m pleased to say that we also have one to giveaway to one of you lucky readers. The RTC1000 Rapid Digital Tyre Inflator came to us at the perfect time as we have a slow puncture and it has really been stopping me getting out and driving for the last couple of weeks so being able to pump them up before I go anywhere and having the RTC1000 Rapid Digital Tyre Inflator in the boot of the car has just given me so much comfort and has been a total godsend for my anxiety levels.

A Visit to Calke Explore

Adventures/ day out

Disclosure: We were invited to explore Calke Explore by the National Trust. We received free entry, a goody bag and a voucher for lunch however all opinions are my own.

If you read this blog regularly or follow us on social media then you will know that one of our favourite National Trust properties is Calke Abbey so we were very excited to go and explore the newly opened outdoor hub… Calke Explore. Calke Explore is a brilliant new addition to Calke Abbey making it even better for families who are wanting to spend more time outdoors.

My Happy Days [17th Aug-6th Sept 2019]

My Happy Days/ personal

Finally I am getting chance to sit down and update you all. It’s been three weeks since I last posted my happy days project, two of those we spent in Cornwall and then the last week has just been busy getting the kids ready to go back to school. We had a wonderful end to the summer holidays in Cornwall. A week spent in Falmouth and a week in Bude, we were so lucky with the weather which meant we were able to spend a large part of our holiday on the beach. Absolute bliss! Liam spent a week with us too which was wonderful to have all my three children on holiday together, for the first time in EIGHT years! Anyway I’ve got loads to share so I’ll get on with it…

Baked Chicken and Chorizo Risotto from Hello Fresh

Recipe/ sponsored

I have to say I often struggle to come up with family meals that all of us will love, something that I can cook when the kids have friends over or even when we have friends over and not go to a huge amount of trouble… because let’s be clear I love the socialising and eating part much more than the actual cooking part.
