This morning I posted a review of the gorgeous hooded towels that we received from The Hooded Towel Co and now I am giving you the chance to win one for yourselves!

    I am lucky enough to live just a few miles from the coast so I have lots of happy memories of long summer days spent on the beach as a child. I remember leaving early in the morning and travelling on the bus with a packed lunch of egg and tomato sandwiches. Happy days :)

  21. We lived within a few miles of the beach so spent many days there. My favourite memories are of building sandcastles with my uncles and aunts when they came to visit and decorating the sandcastles with flags. Can you still buy those flags?!

    I remember when i was about 4 going for a day out to the seaside, it was a wet day but we wasnt bothered we still made sandcastles and paddled in the sea

    we lived near the sea for a couple of years when i was very young, loved visiting at weekends even in the winter!

  25. we didnt go to the seaside much when i was a child but i took my son last year (it was his first summer) and he loved it! he did fall face first into the sand though!

    the first time my daughter went on the beach, the look of horror on her face when her feet touched the sand but then she loved it, we even built a sandcastle… that she then went on to try and eat!

    We are lucky enough to live by the sea, so have been many, many times but I think my favourite memory was of taking my eldest to the beach for the first time, she loved the beach but didn’t like the donkeys to start with, just cried at them, didn’t last long though x

  29. fave seaside memory is when my son ate ice cream for the first time aged around 5 or 6 years old. Before that he would lick an ice-cream, then declare it too cold to eat but that year he discovered he loved smarties pop-up ice-creams. x

    I live beside the sea so I have lots! One great memory was seeing the Tall Ships sail down the Tyne! My dad had (and still has) a fishing boat, so me actually got up quite close to them! I am not sure how old I was but I was still living at home!
