I LOVE crisps, really love them! So when the chance came up to review the new Walkers Mighty Lights I couldn’t really say no could I?! Since I was a little girl my favourite crisp has been Walkers Cheese & Onion… I probably eat far more than I should do (this is why I shall never be thin) but they are just SO good! If there was one food that I had to live on for the rest of my life then it would be them! The new Walkers Mighty Lights had a lot to live up to, Walkers in my eyes had already created perfection for me!
We were sent six packets of each new flavour to try… Lightly Salted, Roast Chicken and Cheese & Onion! Mighty Lights are tasty ridged crisps with 30% less fat! They have no artificial colours or preservatives, no MSG, they are a source of fibre, are suitable for vegetarians and are made from real potatoes!
As soon as they arrived on our doorstep the kids wanted to tuck in, they all opted for cheese & onion much to my annoyance, I was kind of hoping I could stash those away for myself! What can I say other than the kids loved them! The cheese and onion are perfect and I could easily replace the standard cheese & onion with these and be none the wiser.
Mighty Lights are only 4 Weight Watchers Pro Points so they are a better snack for me to have than the others! I don’t actually think the taste of the cheese & onion or the chicken differ to the standard crisps, it’s just the texture that is different and I have to say I slightly prefer the thicker cut and ridges of Mighty Lights!
I do usually put a packet of crisps into Maisie’s lunch box a couple of times a week, she really enjoys them but often moans at me for putting them in as she doesn’t have time to eat them! She likes to get out and play as quickly as she can but I will happily replace her normal crisps with these because of the lower fat content! Not that I’m particularly worried about her fat intake but I do like to keep an eye on these things as I know it doesn’t take much to spiral out of control!
Cheese & Onion Mighty Lights will be always stocked in my cupboard from now on for my little treat! I love them, I just hope I can keep them hidden from the kids long enough to be able to enjoy them
