Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to Thomas Land for a special screening of King Of The Railway, which is the new Thomas & Friends movie. We were treated to popcorn and drinks and watched the new movie in the 4D cinema at Drayton, I was a bit sad that the film wasn’t shown in 3D but the kids loved it; especially all the fun effects like bubbles, water spraying and the chairs moving! Daddy wasn’t too pleased about the chairs suddenly jolting as he had nodded off lol! I personally really enjoyed the movie, it has a great story line that kept the kids entertained throughout. We were really pleased to come away with it on DVD too as the kids got a couple of amazing goody bags!
Join Thomas & Friends as they embark on a legendary movie adventure! The steam team’s quest begins when a special guest arrives on Sodor with a big surprise and important jobs for Thomas, Percy and James. The engines meet new friends and discover suits of armour, coats of arms and legends of long-ago heroes. Then their bravery is put to the test when their new friend Stephen goes missing. Will Thomas find him in time? Will the engines discover the truth about the Island of Sodor’s biggest mystery? It’s a crusade of knightly proportions for Thomas & Friends in this epic movie!
We had an amazing day out, the sun was shining and we got to explore Drayton Manor Theme Park which includes a zoo and the very lovely Thomas Land too – there is so much to do at Drayton Manor, we stayed until the very last ride at 5pm and then two very sad kids left the park as they wanted to go on MORE rides! We were so lucky with our day as most schools had returned after the holidays and Drayton was pretty quiet so we didn’t have to queue for any of the rides, it was amazing to just walk up and get on a ride and to stay on them and go again if we wanted to!
I’ve not been to Drayton Manor since I was about 14; it has changed somewhat since I last went but it really is a fantastic day out! The kids had so much fun and are already asking when they can go back!
