#Project365 – Week Thirty Eight

Project365

This week has all been about my half marathon which I’m happy to say I finished yesterday! It was really hard and I am so pleased it is over. I don’t think I’ll be rushing to do another half marathon, I think I’ll stick to doing some 10k’s in future. I thought my legs would be suffering today but it’s my shoulders that hurt more than anything. We raised over £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support so it was really worth every single minute of pain 🙂

Day 260 – Last weekend Boo went to Guide camp for two nights, when we picked her up on Sunday she was exhausted! She had such a lovely time though!

Day 261 – On Monday I ironed on my name to my t-shirt for my half marathon. I was so nervous!

Day 262 – Bugs gets up every morning and wraps himself up in my fleecy blanket and I often wish I could join in instead of rushing round trying to get everybody ready on time.

Day 265 – Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support really helped keep my nerves at bay for the big day! We doubled our target and raised over £500 🙂

Day 266 – Nervous face!!! I took this on Saturday evening as I was running my first ever half marathon on Sunday and I was terrified. We drove the route on Saturday evening and it has a lot more hills than I am used to so it scared the life out of me! Fingers crossed I make it!!

That’s it for this week, see you next week! I love doing the photo a day project and would love to follow yours if you do it too so please leave me a comment to let me know and I’ll pop by and visit you.

Thank you for having the compassion to lend yourself to such an important cause and sharing it. I agree that the pain is worth it. Cancer sucks!
