I was recently asked to choose something to review from the beautiful PastelPrint website. I opted for the Cut-out Handprint Cufflinks for my other half as it was his 40th a few weeks back and we thought this would be perfect for the kids to surprise him with these!
The first thing I had to do was get a hanprint from each of the kids, PastelPrint sent me a kit to do this containing a few inkless wipes and some special card. Taking the prints was incredibly easy and within minutes I had two great handprints that would be perfect for the cufflinks.
I just scanned them and emailed copies to Allison at PastelPrint and that was my part done… I just had to wait to see the finished product (that’s the hard part)!!
About three weeks later the cufflinks arrived and I absolutely love them. James was really emotional when he opened them and he adores them; he wears shirts everyday at work so they are really getting some good use… I’d actually prefer he didn’t wear them though so he doesn’t lose them but I guess I can always buy him some more if he was to lose them as I still have the handprints on file.
I love that you can choose to have a handprint from each child this makes it such a special gift for Daddy… he now has a beautiful special pair of cufflinks that I would not hesitate to recommend to you!
I asked if it would be possible to have the back of the cufflinks initialled so Daddy never forgets which belongs to which child – obviously there is only so much space and I knew their names wouldn’t fit but I think that it is a lovely extra touch and where I might always recognise Bugs’s chubbier fingers daddy never would 😉
