This week I feel like I have nothing to write about and have been looking for some fab linkies to join in with to give me a bit of inspiration. I’ve heard #Littleloves being mentioned over and over again through the years and I’ve featured Morgana and her business on the blog before but I’ve never actually joined in so today I thought I’d do just that. I’m sat here with a poorly Bugs, he’s at home from school and we have just basically sat snuggled on the sofa all day enjoying each others warmth… Shhhhh don’t tell Daddy we haven’t done anything 😉
I’m really trying hard to get better with my reading habits this year, so far I am on my third book of the year! I am loving just putting my phone down and going to bed a bit earlier each night to enjoy my book. The book I am currently reading is The State We’re In by Adele Parks, I’ve got about 100 pages to go and although it took some getting in to I am really loving it now and find myself wanting to go and start reading it during the day too.
I’ve just finished watching the second series of Touch on Netflix which stars Kiefer Sutherland as a Dad who can’t connect with his emotional challenged son Jake, everything changes when he realised that through numbers and patterns Jake can predict the future. It’s not the best thing I’ve ever watched but it is definitely worth watching.
I’m currently waiting for Boo to finish school so we can start watching ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ which came on Netflix today… we’ve been waiting for what seems like ages and I’ve had to stop myself watching it while she’s been at school 😉
I have to say I don’t listen to a great deal of music I find myself quite sensitive to unnecessary noise nowadays, I’m not sure if it’s having kids or there is something actually wrong with my ears. This is a real problem for my other half as he loves all kind of music and usually plays it really loud so you can imagine this might cause a few arguments especially when he’s blaring out dance tunes at 1am on a Saturday morning and he accidentally puts the music through the bedroom speaker (where I’m fast asleep) instead of the dining room one!!! Grrrr! Anyway one thing that we both do love is listening to waves to get us to sleep so we have created a playlist on Spotify and set it running when we settle down for the night. It’s really quite lovely to wake up to the sound of waves too.
My book club had a cocktail night last night and we made some amazing cocktails, we meet once a month to discuss the books that we usually haven’t read 😉 It’s always nice to just sit and have a meal, drink a few glasses of wine and catch up on each others lives. I wouldn’t really have a social life if it wasn’t for my book club girls!
I’ve nothing to share from me this week but Boo started Guides this week so here she is in her brand new Guides uniform all excited about her first meeting. She had a really fab time and wishes that she could go every single night 😉
We’ve also been making plans for holidays during 2017. We are heading down to Cornwall for a week in February to blow away the cobwebs and then fingers crossed in May we are off to the Dominican Republic for two weeks. We have never had a family beach holiday so I am really looking forward to that!
