Every year on all my kid’s birthdays I say I can’t believe where the time has gone. I’ve been a Mum for almost baby turns FIVE.
I had a horrible elective C section but as soon as you were in my arms everything was perfect. You were my smallest baby weighing just 7lbs 1oz.
It doesn’t seem 5 minutes since I took this photo of you wrapped in a hospital towel just after you were born.
You were perfect in every way; my beautiful baby boy. We had no idea what to call you until you were about a week old but as soon as we decided we loved you and your name so much.
We spent a few nights in hospital and I enjoyed those few days getting to know you and falling more and more in love with you. You were such a sleepy thing in those first few days, that all changed when we got home and somehow I managed to survive on very little sleep for the first three months.
You have just completed your first year at school, I cried when I took you on your first morning, I had no idea how at just turned four you would cope with being at school full time; but you did and you have loved every minute. You have learnt so much in your first year and I love listening to you read and answering all your many questions.
No you didn’t grow much overnight as you thought you would but yes you are indeed FIVE now sweetheart and you are such a wonderful, loving and funny boy. Happy Birthday darling boy, we all love you so very much
